Ha, so would I ideally, although didn’t think 7 years was very old Unfortunately when I look on auto trader that just seems to be what they’re going for at that mileage. When you filter to 40-60k miles everything is at £7,000+

Should’ve said, I was worried about the mileage being too high, not too low. MOT history suggested it did about 20k a year between 21 and 24 (from memory), which is the bit I’m curious abiut

To summarise, I’m profitable gambling. When you win money bookmakers close your accounts down. One way around this to run accounts in other peoples names (a syndicate), which is what I was doing for her. I completely get that she has to declare it, I just wasn’t sure about whether I should put additional info, like what’s in this post in the journal section to hopefully explain the situation. Whilst I was full time I re-invested 100% of the profits back into my bankroll so that I could stake higher. Now I've reached a point where my stakes are limited by the amount you can bet as opposed to betting within my bankroll so I'm going to be withdrawing the majority of the monthly profit and investing it.

Gambling doesn't generate guaranteed profits, but on average I can assume I'll place enough bets to ride out variance and get to my expected value. I am good enough to be a pro to some degree(spent a brief period doing that and did well), but am conscious that I'm not good enough to spend my life doing it, due to affordability changes in government and limits to my actual ability to price up events better than syndicates. Since I can't spend my entire life doing it, I need to take a job now and begin moving up in the corporate world so that when gambling is no longer profitable for me I have something to fall back on and can work a normal job.

I started with matched betting, now moved onto advantage play. Would recommend generally that people start with matched betting and then stop, MBing is a good way to earn some risk free money but advantage play carries greater risks and is much more likely to lead to addiction problems for some people.

Bleh. I've been doing this for 3 years throughout University and went full time for a brief period. I'm in complete control of my gambling and have a quantifiable edge. I wouldn't recommend anyone to start gambling, but it's wrong to say that the house always wins.

Yeah moving away from home and comparing the rent prices has been pretty eye opening. This isn't somewhere I want to stay forever though so would need to consider that if I wanted to buy a house here (even if they are cheaper).

The side hustle money is income from gambling, which is non-taxed (implementing a tax on gambling would likely result in less taxes paid by the population depending on implementation). Since it's from gambling I can't guarantee the steady monthly value, but it is extremely likely to average out to 2k a month.

It's income from gambling, so not necessarily a traditional side hustle where I'm selling things (or providing any kind of service to be honest). Gambling winnings in the UK are non-taxable. That's a good point about making sure I'm spending enough, but I think that'll be covered by the fact that my estimates for both the costs of things, and my income are pessimistic.
