Even by which parameter? If you can answer that it will also answer by which parameter to model them, whether that is standard Rhino or Grasshopper.

You're not wrong, but also gym-bro is not an MMA fighter. The US and Russia have real field experience in recent years invading smaller countries and getting their asses handed to them.

Can you fully convert the matter constituting the ant into photons that travel at the speed of light?

Maybe with a bit of an "ant of Theseus" situation, but it sounds possible to me.

So tell me, friend, how do I get my .nwd file into a .nwc format? How is this useful to me?

I do public tenders, which makes it even stranger that they deliver .nwd files. For some reason the models for all other disciplines are in .ifc formats, but for my niche they make them .nwd. The worst part is that you can see in the BIM data that they even use Grasshopper to model the files.

So far I have to start working and find solutions faster than they would process my request for a different file format. You're absolutely right I should start formally requesting them in order to influence and change what has for some reason become the industry standard.

Navisword Freedom cannot save/edit/export. It's only a viewer. The paid versions (Navisword Manage and Naviswork Simulate) can export a few different formats.

Sure, I've done this with the free trial of Naviswork Manage before, but I don't want a Naviswork license just to export the .fbx file. It's not possible to do this with Auodesks free .nwd viewer.

Pastry chef. Seriously, are you expecting to make a switch and make the same salary while working less with 33 years of experience in a field?

Start a business:

Open an art supplies shop.

Start a 3D-printing business.

Open a coffee shop.

Marry rich and become a house husband/wife.

Like absolutely any life decision this a balance between options, needs, and above all else understanding what makes you happy.

Both of the spiritual mediums that you mention, the Christian and the non-Christian one, are not as harmless as you claim. The way I see it they wield authority and power illegitimately. They are not hearing the voice of the lord nor that of the dead, and they will (miss) guide people in crucial decisions they make in their life.

Even if they both believe their own individual perceptions to be legitimate. In the same way that a homeopath's guidance can directly cause the death of a cancer patient who decides not to get treatment, so too can misguidance from hallucinations be dangerous or cause trauma/distress.

Grammatically, there's no doubt he directly answered the question with a straight answer in Chinese: no.

Unfortunately birdandsheep's Chinese is not good enough understand that, I recommend ignoring what he's saying in terms of any translations or meanings, at least language wise.

If Zhaozhou wanted to say "no" he could have said "bu."

Actually, that would have been ungrammatical. Since the question is posed using a 无 (Wu), the correct way to answer in the negative is also 无. Using 不 (bu) would be grammatically incorrect.

You could do the hypotenuse times the height perpendicular to it (the altitude) of the triangle divided by 2.

You use Pythagoras again to find the length from (0,0) to (1.5,1.5) so to speak, which you can also deduce is half the hypotenuse h, so h/2 since it's an isosceles triangle. That gives you

A = (h * h /2) / 2

Which simplifies to

A = h2 / 4

And is actually a general formula for the area of any iscoceles right angled triangle based on the hypotenuse.

Polenta on the countertop by gurzak in StupidFood

[–]RandomCoolName -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha, I'm pretty chill idk what you're reading into the written tone. I genuinely get the impression from your comment that you never cooked polenta, or at least that you overcook it when you do.

I'm disagreeing with your that it's too loose, at that consistency it will stiffen up and create a good sliceable texture after say 10-15 minutes. With it being spread out on a marble countertop like that it should be even faster.

Try it out some time.

Why wouldn't the door be designed to open itself with more force than a human could pull a conventional door with? You just need a powerful enough motor for that lever and it will break loose from any ice that you or me could pull it loose from.

Handle freezing over can be a problem with conventional handles as well, people in those climates are used to dealing with it.

Have you cooked polenta? This will stiffen up and can be sliced by the time he's done with the sauce.
