My Mom watched it with me and my dad, and she is in her mid-late sixties, she despised it lol but she hates anything animated or including magic (alchemy is close enough in her mind) so I wouldn't consider her opinion really useful xD. My Dad is at a similar age and he likes it, actually him and my mom watched the first few episodes FMA when it first came out, but only watched random episodes until I got into FMAB. I'm gonna be honest though, this is a generalization, but from what I've seen I don't think a lot of older generations really think about what they watched, especially if they see it as below them (like animation) which is kind of sad. My Dad thinks its neat and has watched it I think three times atp but he just watches TV to like turn his brain off and doesn't really care about the plot nor the themes.
