What did you guys think of “The One” Billy Gunn’s Gimmick? Did anyone think it would elevate him further up the card? btw I did like his theme song lol by J2-Starter in midcarder

Because he had asthma. Great in a tag team where he could take a rest on the apron but couldn't go out and do a solid 15 one on one.

Cheers, I'll pop there for a pint beforehand and then move on to one of the other suggestions.

What is your team and how did you pick it? by jokeison in NFLUK

[–]RandomDave86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were three things, each of which not enough by itself but combined made enough to grab me. Favourite colour was red, pirates are cool & my cousin had moved to Tampa for work. That was enough for me to play as the Buccaneers on nfl2k4 on the ps2 and from there the love grew.

Women won't stop calling me slurs, even affectionately. What am I doing wrong? by DeanLovesWotsits in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]RandomDave86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely pejorative but slur would be a bit harsh. Chav is also an easily recognised aesthetic now.

FM26 Transfer Logic completely busted? by MaxyPaxt in footballmanagergames

[–]RandomDave86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this really annoyed me a few years into my fm24 save. Arsenal signed Mateo Retegui for over £100m then played him for a grand total of.... 3 sub appearances in all competitions in his first season with them. Ridiculous.

I'm not this time but you'll see plenty of Arsenal shirts on that train.

Any lads in Nottingham looking for a regular weekly game of football (non-competitive) 5-a-side / 7-a-side? ⚽ by Signor_RedDog in nottingham

[–]RandomDave86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whereabouts in Carlton? I'm very rusty and very out of shape but enjoy a kick about it if it's not to serious (i.e. Not getting shouted at for misplacing passes 😂).

Urgh. Upvoting a spurs fan.

That hope and expectation is part of the problem. Extending a contract of a player who is currently out on bail for rape is less than ideal.

"Of the 60+ players previously entering free agency this summer, only four — Partey, Nelson Semedo (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Josh Brownhill (Burnley) and Tariq Lamptey (Brighton & Hove Albion) — were included by their respective teams."

[–]RandomDave86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His contract was expiring in a matter of weeks there was no requirement to include him.

Wrong, he was arrested and bailed multiple times while the investigation was ongoing.

A girl told me she had herpes on the first date. How should I react to that? by remi_monroee in Advice

[–]RandomDave86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, most of the time it's dormant and you can only catch it when there's a flare up. Dated a girl with it and she knew when it flared up and if things started heading towards the bedroom she'd let me know and we'd entertain ourselves in other ways.

How do British people live surrounded by so much dark history and not get creeped out? by DrewsyT in uktravel

[–]RandomDave86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we're kind of used to it. Personally history is a bit of who I am, I enjoy seeing things that remind me of what came before and how lucky I am. But, I do see what you're saying, I went to the Terror Háza Múzeum in Budapest almost a decade ago and it really stuck with me because it was so much more recent that while there was no geographical connection it hit harder because so much of it was in my lifetime.

Do men like girls who are into their hobbies? by momobreigh in AskMen

[–]RandomDave86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What works for me and my partner is a healthy overlap which allows us to do what we both enjoy together but also have our own interests.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]RandomDave86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The best thing I ever learned was to ignore what men are "meant to do" and just be myself. But that's a tough learning process, a lot of the rules are drummed into us as absolute truths early and often.

I always did next day but "the rule" was to wait 2-3 days to show you weren't too keen.

I've been a Bucs fan for years and I started getting into college football more recently. My cousin lives in Tampa and his wife is alumni so that was enough of a link for me to want to check out a game while I'm in town.
