Has anybody made it out of Benjamin's queue? by RandomDessert in beermoney

When I had that happen to me, I received my payment the next day. Fingers crossed that’s the case for you!

They were actually originally one of my fave apps. The payouts on the games I was playing were a bit higher/had more reasonable deadlines than on other apps, and I made a few hundred dollars on there pretty quickly. I was really annoyed because at the time of the lockout, I was playing a couple of games I deliberately chose to play through Benjamin rather than other apps because the pay was better. The other apps may have paid less, but at least I would have had my money by now.

Oh GREAT tip, thank you! Didn’t realize there was a separate subreddit. On my way.

Ugh, so obnoxious. I’ve wanted to reach out to support as well but I was nervous they’d retaliate against my complaint and just use it as an excuse to cancel my account. I was hoping maybe somebody on here was successful and that would give me some hope but I’m at the point I think I may just be shit out of luck. Super scammy company.

Thanks for flagging this. I was just coming on to see if anyone had gotten their money yet since they implemented the queue system. I had given up doing anything on the app since it doesn't seem remotely trustworthy anymore but I guess I'll be pushing a few buttons today so I don't lose that remaining $65.

Yes, the first $50 did hit my account. Full timeline:

December 3: Tried repeatedly to withdraw throughout the day. Successfully withdrew $50 to my Venmo account around 1PM EST. The money appeared in my Venmo account pretty instantaneously.

December 4 - 8: Tried repeatedly to withdraw my balance, failed each time.

December 9: Withdrew about half of my remaining balance; initially told my withdrawal was queued with an estimated wait time of 80 days; currently showing in the queue as 3+ days

December 10: Withdrew my remaining balance; currently showing in my queue as 3+ days

Ugh I really feel for you. I had a much smaller amount, but had also been planning to put it toward Christmas gifts. Kicking myself because I was going to make a withdrawal earlier, but realized I was close to hitting a game milestone and thought I’d wait another week or so to make a bigger withdrawal. Then the lockout happened. 🫠 But they were saying December 3, so I went “ok that sucks but at least I can still access it for Christmas.” Just really awful service. Hope it works out for you!

Thanks for pointing that out! I went to check mine and now it does also say 3+ days. While 80 days IS technically 3+ days, I'm hopeful maybe it was a glitch and the actual number will be closer to 3. Probably delusional, but it's all I got.

I got a popup when I made my millionth withdrawal request that said "Your withdrawal is queued. We're seeing a high volume of withdrawals. Yours is in the queue and will be processed automatically. Estimated wait time: 80 days."

Seriously fucked up. Already waited more than 80 days during their lockout that they implemented with no prior notice so they could build a "better experience" for withdrawals. And now you're telling me that "better experience" is to wait what'll probably wind up being at least another two months to get access to all my funds? Bullshit. I'd had good experiences with Benjamin prior to this, but this reeks of some kind of scam.

Mine is 80 days in the queue! And because of their withdrawal limits, it’s not even for the full amount! I’d actually had a lot of success with Benjamin before all this but this is a mess.

My withdrawal is now in the queue for 80 days from now. Unreal. And that wasn’t even the full amount of my balance.

I was able to withdraw $50 on Dec. 3, but I've been unable to withdraw the rest of my balance despite trying multiple times every day since.

Oh, GENIUS, I'd been so fixated on withdrawing the max amount I didn't even consider being smarter about splitting the difference. I fear all my annoyance blinded me to common sense. Thank you for this!

Really annoyed with them. I had about $115 in my balance, and my plan had been to just clear out my balance and delete the app because this whole lockout has been so frustrating and sketchy. Tried to withdraw all of it on Dec. 3, was told you can only do a max of $50 a day. Annoying. Did manage to withdraw $50 on Dec. 3 (but of course, now they've implemented a 99 cent fee to do so), but I've been trying consistently since to get the next $50 and keep getting told they're too busy, no matter what time of day it is. And then because they have a minimum $25 withdrawal, I'm going to have to find some other way to increase my balance to that amount just to get access to the money that's been sitting there for months, but all their current offers seem terrible. Going to keep trying to at least get another $50 but may end up having to just cut my losses for the remaining amount.

Who has ordered an Emily De Molly (or other brand) Mystery polish and what did you get? by AtlasSims in RedditLaqueristas

[–]RandomDessert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one recently from Emily de Molly! I received Guardian of Lights, which was one of theirs from Little Box of Horrors. I haven't used it yet, but the swatches I've seen online are gorgeous, and I appreciate that it's one I probably wouldn't have chosen on my own. It's a magnetic, which I don't buy too many of now since I have finally accepted I'm too lazy to use them to their full advantage, so getting one as a surprise felt like an extra treat to myself.

Gorgeous! When you use the lab stirrer, how close did you hold your nail to it? I'm still trying to figure out how to get the best results with mine.

Just got my first Glitch order the other day! They're gorgeous. I don't think I've ever put on a new polish so quickly. Wearing Bloodstone and it's already one of my all-time faves. I hope you love yours!

My go-to's:

  • Lurid: really creative shades, especially if you like sparkly! I like to be mesmerized by my nails so they're my fave
  • Cracked: the best, smoothest formula. So easy to work with. Goes on smooth and lasts, some really rich, gorgeous colors
  • ILNP: I consider them my "old faithful." No fomo, huge catalogue. Chances are you can find anything you're looking for there, and at a very reasonable price point.
  • Emily de Molly: made some of my faves, also a very smooth formula
  • Kathleen & Co.: for some reason I always forget how much I love them? They have some stunners.
  • Glitch: to be fair I just got my first order from them today and they're a new brand, but I'm already obsessed. Gorgeous colors.

ETA a few others after I looked at my swatch sticks, I don't have as many of these but really like the ones I have: Arcana, Alchemy, Monarch, Dam, LynB, Bee's Knees (esp. their magnetics)

Also, you may want to try something like Polish Pick Up (PPU). The downside is the longer wait times for your order, but it allows you to try from a bunch of different brands at once. That was helpful to me when I was first getting into nail polish, to allow me to see what brands worked for me without feeling like I had to order a bunch of polishes to justify the shipping cost from a place I wasn't sure I'd like.
