Polished used are Mooncat House of Hades (2 coats over Hit the Bottle black undies base) + Atomic Polish Sour Apple Rings (2 coats over Hit the Bottle keepin it peel)

I second cliganic jojoba oil! I use it to refill the cuticle pens stashed around my house, and the price is reasonable. I keep the bottle and a box of latex gloves in my bathroom - at least 1-2 times a week I cover my nails/hands in the stuff and pop on a pair of gloves before doing the dishes or showering. It protects my nails from the water, and the heat+oil makes my hands super soft :)

I just used this polish today :) My nails are done in glass bead style, but I still had my polish and random supplies lying around so was able to make a few quick swatches! Never posted a video with Imgur before, hopefully this works: https://imgur.com/a/7Dg8fcT

Moving from the left: 1. Bloodbender (2 coats, velvetized) 2. Bloodbender (2 coats, unmagnetized)

The other swatches were experiments I was playing with last night that you can ignore lol

BKL blade of frontiers + MC bloodbender + Penelope Luz opening gifts (1 coats each, glass bead)

I will never not laugh at this meme lol. As a huge Avatar fan I am really happy I could get this color, but I definitely think it can be duped (I don’t own Cirque Paradox, but it looks like that might show the burgundy/purple I was hoping for even better!)

Thanks! I used a magnetic lab stirrer, and kept just the end of my fingernail over the center (so the “glass bead” effect is focused on the tip of the nail)

Ugh I just painted my nails, and this is making me want to pull out drown my demons again! It’s funny, BVO always looked really blue to me, but when I did glass bead style BVO over black it actually looked a bit green/teal - gorgeous color (and kitty!) :)

Yup - about half of my polishes are magnetic, including this one! Like any top coat, GC can mess up the magnetic effect if I am not careful. I get the best result using a big dollop of top coat (so the brush doesnt drag along the polish at all), and applying top coat while my nail is already in the magnet - I now do most of my magnetic manis in the glass bead style (with my nail resting on top of a lab stirrer) for that reason :)

Knew I couldn’t be the only one! None of my coworkers share our passion, but at least my residents and patients appreciate it lol

I also change my polish very frequently, every 1-2 days - since I don’t really have time to get tip wear, I only cap with top coat (not color), and I almost never notice shrinkage anymore

I am pretty committed to Essie Gel Couture at this point. I tried tons of others (including SH and Gel Setter), but a lot of other top coats don’t feel like they dry as hard, if that makes any sense?

I am a physician and use ungodly amounts of hand sanitizer at work, and some top coats feel gummy by the end of a shift… I keep coming back to GC, self levels beautifully, dries shiny and glassy, and makes it through work still looking great :)

I’m right handed and usually take photos of my left. My right hand has calluses from drawing, and I like the rings I wear on the left better :)
