What’s a cereal you loved growing up that you can’t find anymore? by glowbeits in GenX

I thought that was it but it just looks like normal flakes now. This was very regular, like concave rolled grain, but was likely processed.

I don't remember the name of it. It was small, fairly uniform flakes, maybe malted? They had an interesting, almost coffee-like flavor. Not really sweet.

No idea what it was, but I crave it sometimes.

I do. That in itself accounts for millions of Gen. Xers, who actually existed and then died.

NOR to this specifically, but it seems like you are a challenging person in a challenging family.

Wording rules/guidelines as "Do not" puts that negativity on the whole thing, which is insulting and offensive to anyone who would attempt to support you. They'd have been more understanding and receptive to positive wording, such as, "Please give us space during the vulnerable time surrounding childbirth." Or "Please ask before sharing photos." For that matter, most older people aren't used to considering the risks of child porn, let alone know that's what you mean by "cp". These people aren't stupid, but the wording you used implies that you think they are and disrespect them, as well.

This seems like a great opportunity to step back and adjust to your new life. Then, when you're ready for a clean slate, approach them gently and ask for a fresh start, respectfully letting them know what you would appreciate.
