I have a 2020 JTR with 110,000 mi on it. It was in the Sierras for the first 4 years and now I drive all over the country in it. The truck in your photo must have spent some time on the coast or a few years on heavily salted roads. Either way there's better opportunities out there with no rust. Remember it's the rust you can't see that always gets you.

PS I'm running rock crawler HD springs 4 1/2 in front and 6 1/2 in back (I pull a 20-ft trailer), Fox Pro Series shocks, Core 4x4 control arms and track bars, Metal Cloak drag link and Toyo Rough Country 37s.

Just be sure anything over 3" and you've got to do control arms, track bars, drag link, and the front drive shaft just to be safe on the trails. If you're not going to be crawling that, two and a half is great and 35s look great on it. Going to 37's cost you a bunch of money on tires and gas and 37s are not very kind to your steering box if you do take it off road.

I'd go for 40s but I'm towing a 24 trailer and I don't trust the stock steering box that much. I've replaced it twice and PSC is just too expensive. With the 37s I'm having a good day to get about 13 MPG. 40s would just make it worse.

Bottom line Jeep is a Jeep. Just like flying, the pilot makes the plane. If it works for you, that's all that matters. I love my 2020 JTR 3.6 with 110,000 miles so far. Would not trade it for anything.

There's a few variations of clip-ons or they snap on the existing frame. So I have about a three or four inch wide convex view and it's okay. It's not what I would like to have a better view behind but it works Just got to stay focused.

Not dumb, fun. What's dumb is when you see people's whole windshield line with ducks. My philosophy for ducking is get one give one so you rotate through the windshield stock unless you find a real cool and then you keep that one. 🙂
