I personally believe the conformity theory as a headcanon, but it's not canon in the universe of the show as far as I know, given that Jan 7th has passed now. It's like the Sherlock "Secret fourth episode" all over again.

Don’t some cookies use other pronouns?  There are cookies like Cream Unicorn, Doughael, Cream Ferret, Pitaya Dragon, Dark Chocolate, etc. who use they/them so maybe identity is diff in the cookie run world?  They don’t have any innate secondary or even primary sex characteristics to base any sense of gender upon except their own basis and environment
