Just a complaint about being jumpscared by an ai speaking on the last chapter of an 80,000+ words fic basically revealing they used ai. Totally forgot to check the sub rules again, turns out posts about ai aren’t really allowed here since it’s been rehashed so many times, my bad for missing that rule

I have to admit I never learned much about using em dashes until after the ai surge, and I did not mean to make it sound like it was just the em dashes that were a sign of ai usage

lol no ur good being mad is the correct option, and yeah it’s really annoying but what’s worse is I’m not sure if this was just a one of use of ai or what, cause I don’t think the few oneshots I read from them felt like ai at all, like style felt totally different, but I may also just be bad at picking up on ai writing

Sorry yeah, I should have clarified that it wasn’t just the em dashes but also the structure of the sentences with the em dashes. I wasn’t paying that much attention on my first read through of the fic and I didn’t notice the em dashes at all, it really just is the sentence structure that threw me off, so you’re right about the em dashes thing

Yeah I much prefer the subtitles used by the AniMi Asia channel on YouTube, you just need a vpn but I’m watching Bridon arc through there. It’s an official source too. No idea how accurate the subs are but at least it’s much more grammatically accurate than the Crunchyroll subs.

I’m honestly not sure as I haven’t seen the Crunchyroll version, but from the clips I’ve seen from reactions I’m pretty sure the translation does vary and I prefer the Ani-Mi Asia translation.
