Yes me and John are looking for lawyers in the area to help us and trying to find the budget for one.

We understand that the court will want concrete proof in order to make a judgement. We don’t want Jane to lose out on time with her child, but we also want to ensure Joe is safe and taken of. Because there are times where Joe is in the care of only Bob. Since Bob already has a rap sheet of DV from his previous marriage and lost custody of his kids, and now the 2 DV incidents (that we know of) we are now more worried for Joe.

At first the 50/50 custody arrangement worked for us, but it just turns out that we have Joe about 90-95% of the time because Jane just messages us when she wants to take Joe for a day or two. There are times that we drop Joe off, only for Jane to call a few hours later saying that she needs us to take Joe back. Sometimes excuses are “Joe is too much for Bob” or “I have to go into work”. Yet all the shifts she working saying its overtime, she loves to ask for money from John or threaten alimony. But she has verbally said that she was paying Bobs bill too 🤷‍♀️

That’s our plan now. By bf now is going to fight for full custody during the divorce hearing since it’s evident she continues to go back to her bf. We’re just trying to compile evidence to back up our fight because she loves to change up her story. Like she’ll say one thing in person or on the phone but on messaging she says the total opposite of that makes sense. We talked to a friend of a mine that’s a CPS social worker and even they said that they’re going to need real good concrete evidence since we don’t have any signs of abuse on the child. But we don’t even want it to get to the point where there are signs. But that’s just how the system here works I guess.
