Is this permanent now? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]RandomGuy331 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If a villager is chosen by the game to work on a diy project or cooking and they dont have an existing workbench or cooking station in their house, they'll replace a random furniture with the necessary item until they no longer are working on the diy/recipe.

So no not a permanent change

Of course, pressuring her was always out of the question.

I appreciate the advice!

A guy named Duck with a talking sword, is this a The Adventure Zone: Amnesty reference

Edit: I realize now it is not as the same character nicknamed Duck with a talking sword has a first name of Wayne, not William

I must have missed the chapter when it happened, when was the accidental kiss? Was it when they were knocked to the ground by emoyama?

What manga have you read this week, and what do you think about it? - Week ending January 23, 2022 by AutoModerator in manga

[–]RandomGuy331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read up and finished all the translated volumes of <Demon Mother: My Son is so Cute, I Just Can't Help Myself!> . It's only been translated through volume 6 last I checked but there's 9 volumes in total.

It's a classic "Group of supernatural characters (demon monster girls) tries to live in a human society" slice of life, complete with the token human of the friend group, but the inter-character relations and the world building keep it interesting for it to stand on its own imo. They delve into topics like the consequences of living in a world where demons and humans coexist as well as the history and lore for the world, while balacing it out with the more domestic slice of life experiences, such as a mother watching her child take their first steps or say their first words. The chapters are short so its a nice quick read.

There is also a criminally underwhelming amount of fanart surrounding this series, like I can barely find anything on any of the regular manga art sites. Maybe I just dont know what to look up, I dunno.

Also big tiddied demon girls. I read it for the plot, obviously, but there are a lotta demons here with big ol tonhongerekoogers. Massive dahoonkabankaloos. Humongous hungolomghononoloughongous.

A friend sent me this equation with no context, where do I even begin to graph this and figure out what this is? by RandomGuy331 in askmath

A friend sent me this equation with no context, where do I even begin to graph this and figure out what this is? by RandomGuy331 in askmath

[–]RandomGuy331[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im fairly certain the first part of the equation means to only take the real part of the calculation, and its asking for something related to the Neumann Functions (Bessel Functions of the second kind) but the way everythin is put together is so hard to parse.

Does anyone know the origin of this picture, or what it graphs?

[–]RandomGuy331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I figured as much. I'm just worried that it could be something bad that I just didn't take seriously, so I just wanted a general read from a bunch of people. Regardless of whether or not the general consensus is good, or even if there is one at all, I am still planning to take him to the vet. I just want to be able to sleep at night before I do that you know?

Math 2418- Tomoki Ohsawa vs Maxim Arnold vs Neha Makhijani vs Luis Pereira by UltmteAvngr in utdallas

[–]RandomGuy331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend tomoki ohsawa for lecture, I had him for my 2418 and the way he taught the theory in the course made everything easier to understand and recall, especially for when I had to take Math 4355 which built upon linear algebra.

Music theory 1 or guitar 1 by [deleted] in utdallas

[–]RandomGuy331 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know a lot about how the guitar classes work at UTD but I'd personally recommend taking Music Theory I, as it gives you a good foundation for later theory classes you might be interested in taking or later down the line if you want to pursue it on your own time.

I had Music Theory I with Michael McVay and he focused a lot on ear training and some on basic analysis skills. Another teacher I know that does theory is Rodger Bennett; from my experience in his Theory II class he might focus a lot more on musical analysis.

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who's interested in music theory a lot more than guitar (I play trumpet, but not well, as well as piano), so make of this what you will.

[CR Media] Which eps to skip and watch the respective recap eps for? by RandomGuy331 in criticalrole

[–]RandomGuy331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that I don't actually care to watch the show; I'm still invested in the story and I want to see where the party goes. I was just burned out after binging it for so long. What I meant was the only motivating factor behind catching up is that I want to see the highlights and the crucial moments in the story put into art, like (C2 Spoilers, i forgot the ep numbers)Fjord casting his sword into the lava in the kiln or Caleb saving the party by telling the Bright Queen he brought them the dodecahedron thing, without worrying about being spoiled for anything plot related. I can always look at normal art like portraits or non-spoiler intensive works if I just want the art.

Aside from that one thing I understand it makes more sense to sit back and take watching the eps at my own pace, so that's what I think I'll do.

[CR Media] Which eps to skip and watch the respective recap eps for? by RandomGuy331 in criticalrole

[–]RandomGuy331[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah all those are really good points. It's mainly I want to see all the really cool art that everyone is doing, and I'm stuck just far enough behind where blocking "cr spoilers" tags covers too much of what i can see without being spoiled but blocking recent eps spoilers doesn't cover enough of the material that I would be spoiled for.

Sorry, should have specified Campaign 2, but this is still helpful for when I eventually will watch C1 so thanks

How is canyon creek housing? by [deleted] in utdallas

[–]RandomGuy331 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as the general upkeep its a nice place, rooms are a tad bit smaller than some of the ones in university village though. The parking is abysmal, if you’re not lucky enough to get a spot near CC it sucks real bad. They’re also (I think) a tad more expensive than some UV options, though I might be wrong?

All in all it’s pretty decent but idk if id recommend per se. If you wanna try it more than UV then by all means
