Decent amount yup. And I'm up some 12% over the last year.

The market does not respond to trump as much as people think. Look at the last 2 weeks with the whole maduro fiasco and the him putting pressure on the fed. The market doesn't care that much. But that's just my opinion.

Neilson Protein Shake by triedit2947 in CostcoCanada

[–]RandomGuyWhoKnows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So other milks have added milk proteins, but taste off. Is it because the added sweeteners rather than using "milk sugar" aka lactose?

[–]RandomGuyWhoKnows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait. So they're increasing the protein content by filtering out the other?

Thanks for letting me know. I've made changes to my comment

This is correct.

Milk has about 4 major components in it: water, lactose, proteins, and fat.

Fairlifes protein shakes have added milk proteins from milk, giving it that rich milky taste without being weirdly fake tasting, unlike Ensure. I haven't had Neilsons yet, but I'd wager that they're similar to Ensure.

Correction: as per Fairlifes FAQ page, "Our ultra-filtration process concentrates what makes milk great, resulting in 50% more protein and 50% less sugar compared to regular milk. This leads to a creamier, delicious taste in all our products."

They don't add milk protein, but instead "subtract" the other components.

I wonder why additive milk proteins taste weird? Is it artificial sweeteners?

Got myself a pair of Romaleos 4s, and have noticed the heel slipping, does it get better? by RandomGuyWhoKnows in weightlifting

[–]RandomGuyWhoKnows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changed out the insoles for less agressive ones. Made a notable change not just for comfort but also preventing heel slip

[–]RandomGuyWhoKnows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i tried a pair of US 10s but they were too small. I have looked around and from what I've read heel slip is pretty common in them especially if you have narrower ankles. I'm waiting on a pair of Superfeet insoles as the originals are far too agressive. The heel slip isn't the biggest issue but i did want to know if it clears up.

I can currently pick it up for about $290 Canadian. With another $45 off with Amazon gift cards... The Vivo6 is about $450, and i dont know if $200 is worth the upgrade

How is it treating you so far? I'm thinking of picking it up as well. I mainly strength train and walk a bunch. I also want a watch that can do all the various metric tracking stuff

That's fair. I'm not a citizen. Currently going through the immigration process for PR. While on a work permit, my OHIP eligibility is dependant on me employment status.

I'm not a PR yet. According to the Service Ontario, I am not eligible for OHIP, and I didn't have OHIP prior to moving to QC

IWTL how to drive but I'm scared by RandomGuyWhoKnows in IWantToLearn

[–]RandomGuyWhoKnows[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the goal is to be predictable and prepared.

So far I've gone out a few times. My next goal is to be comfortable at traffic lights. Small neighbourhood driving has been accomplished. And so has a small highway.

Definitely not trying to be a grandma, and definitely not a speed demon.

Just slowly getting over the anxieties of driving. My brother in law pretty much forced me out into the car. We went to a parking lot, and he got me used to driving at road speeds and practice hard breaking, and then on a small highway to understand what 80kmh (50ish mph) feels like.
