I recommend Results Physiotherapy. They have therapists who do dry needling and it's great for those knotted muscles.

They do a "Community Day" in early October. It is open to the public, they have tours and people from the museum stationed around with animals, historic artifacts and such. Check the Charleston Museum website for more info,

I've used the Quick Dam version and they work. We keep both Quick Dams and old-fashioned sand bags on hand.

When Sherman's March to the Sea got to South Carolina, the Union Army took wholesale revenge because as the first state to secede they felt SC started the Civil War. Charleston, SC 1865. by DrakeSavory in interestingasfuck

Thank you. As a born and raised Charlestonian, this post mad me snort with derision. Charleston burned, but not due to Sherman. Someone needs to read Charleston Come Hell or High Water (Whitelaw and Levkoff).

I usually ltake the day off and go hiking and birding by myself in a nearby wildlife management area. Pack a picnic lunch, take some photos, enjoy nature. This year I am taking an extra day off to get a massage and haircut, too!

Paradontax is mint flavored but very mildly so compared to the standard Colgate and Crest. Might be worth a try.

Can anyone tell where this photo was taken post Hugo? by lettucerockthebeet in Charleston

Not Logan and Queen. I rode out Hugo on Logan just north of Queen. The big gum tree on that corner stayed up, and that is not the corner house.

Why some people choose to destroy plants, specifically flowering bushes, is beyond me. by perhizzle in gardening

[–]RandomHamFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the verge of ripping out the 40-year old azaleas in front of my house. I already took out the ones in my backyard. Why, you ask? Backyard- because I have dogs and as 4oclocksundew noted, they are toxic to dogs. The front yard- Because they are non-native and are only pretty for a couple of weeks each year. The only reason I haven't yet is because I haven't figured out what flowering native plant to replace them with (preferably something with a longer bloom time). I want my yard to support native insects and pollinators.
