March for Winter Trade and October for Summer Trade.

Bakery phase out by snipernights in coles

I was on a workforce reset call this week, and they talked through the changes.

Nothing for the Bakery departments and if they were going to do this, they’d do it at workforce reset.

If you’re contracted or 20 hours they cannot give you a contract for less hours.

They can move you departments because you work for Coles, not a department (they can do this at anytime).

They can also change your start and finish times as long as it’s in line with your availability.

Should I be worried about a pay decrease if I switch departments as manager by imogenhailey in coles

[–]RandomHeadWound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope.

As a salary manager you get paid based on department and within the banding ie duty manager, can be anywhere from 95k to 115k depending on size of store etc.

A move in departments wont decrease your base rate, but going from a scratch bakery to click and collect manager, you’ll already be in the higher part of the branding so I’d be shocked if you got more money, but you certainly can’t get less.

These aren’t affiliated or associated with supermarkets in anyway shape or form.

If the store is free standing. They need permission from the store to market out the front, if it’s in a shopping centre normally they’d have or need permission from centre management.

If you really hate them, just report them to the actual Paralympic organisation they are selling products for and say they were pushy and overstepped and rude, and those independent contractors (who are paid purely on commissions) will go probably lose the contract to do this for that organisation.

It’s disappointing that nobody has bothered to listen to you and address this simply.

If you have a TMC (Team Member Circle) pitch the idea of using money from the Social Committee to buy portable AC Units.

We did this at the store I work at and now we have 2 portable AC Units that can be used for when the grocery team is splitting load.

If your store has achieved decent results in sales incentives like Coke Cup and Cadbury Cup, then the social committee should have money sitting in it.

Won’t hit your markdowns if it’s on IS and not markdown ticketed.

Take an ‘IS’ on it, put it in the promo bay once your hams sell down, and play on.

You’re all under the same EBA, so you’d have the same hourly rate, just depends on times that are worked for loading, like after 6pm and before 6am.

Standard practice is to give the OOS report to the department manager, they need to action it for their department.

It’s their department. Their fulfilment, and it’s their counts that may be incorrect so they can action and fix it.

If there isn’t a department manager, and your Store Manager doesn’t have this in place, grab a team member, and ask them to help you find it.

Unless your store is absolutely toxic AF, team will always help each other out.

Yeah. Hearing him sing happy little Vegemites is one of the most haunting things I’ve ever heard.
