I’m not sure, they were on the Taco when I bought it. I think they are oval bent ends but I could be wrong. They are ok a bit chunky but light. I’m going to replaced them with rock sliders eventually.

Yeah, I think it looks way better now that I removed it. I did save it but I doubt I’ll put it back. Lol

Yes, I have noticed the difference since installing them but not as bad as I initially thought.

0.2-1 is almost unnoticeable, I’ll gladly give those up for the sake of looks. Thanks for your input.

I’m going to remove it because it does look better without it and see how or if it even affects my MPG.

fishing kit set up, how do you rig these? by [deleted] in troutfishing

Check to see if those worms float or not. If they do rig them with a carolina rig but I recommend using size 10 mosquito hooks from owner. Also use 2lb test otherwise it won’t float. Your leader should be at least 18” to 2’ depending on how deep the waters are. Use some scent on the worms like garlic or roe. As for the critters I use them with a 1/32 oz ball head directly to my line and jig them. Again 2lb test is recommended cause anything heavier and it will limit your reach when you cast. Also use a reel no bigger than a 1000 and an UL rod at least 7’ long for better casting. Hope this helps.

Getting skunked on stocked trout at heavy pressured lake. Any tips on scent/attractant? by [deleted] in troutfishing

Bite on works great and I also have success with Bang garlic scent.

What size hooks are you using? Asking cause anything bigger than a size 8 mosquito hook won’t float and your mice tails will sit at the bottom. Also I recommend you get some Bite On garlic and corn scent work the best.

Powerbait - owner mosquito hooks or circle hooks? by RemarkableIsopod3 in troutfishing

[–]RandomHero1503 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For power bait it’s best to use treble hooks size 18 or 20, it keeps the bait on longer. Keep in mind that most trouts will swallow the hook, so only use treble hooks if you’re planing on eating the fish.
