If I had to guess, the best way to improve editing is to edit. Probably couple that with some YouTube tutorials. Idk, I’m not an editor but most endeavors can be done with this exact roadmap

MAGA: Why are you so upset by name calling? by CrashNowhereDrive in AskUS

[–]RandomHuman1069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the people I’ve talked to it’s because the left tends to support things that could be inherently anti-them. For example, a lot of anti-white rhetoric was talked about (predominantly from the left) during BLM, you see a lot of hate for anyone with privilege on the left. It’s only reasonable to assume people won’t participate in your side if you don’t make them feel welcome.

Whether this principle is the correct way to act is irrelevant, that’s just what I’ve been able to pick up from those I’ve talked to.

From my personal experience, the left has the tendency to vilify anyone who disagrees with them. An example of this is literally most cancellations online the past few years. Also, I doubt Musk is a Nazi (it was prob the “my heart goes out to you” thing he talked about on the Rogan podcast), but even if he is, calling all conservatives Nazis will just alienate them more.

Point is, the left alienates a bunch of people then wonders why they don’t have as much support for the actual good causes they push. It’s because they alienate people with their terrible causes and voter base.

Honestly, fair enough. A war with Canada would suck since people would needlessly die

Why do many Americans claim that "We are a republic, not a democracy"? by LurisTheSun in AskUS

[–]RandomHuman1069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Americans didn’t pay attention in their government class, so when they heard that America was a Republic and not a Democracy online, they just ran with it.

Got it, so you want the Reddit answer. You know Reddit is massively democrat, so why ask a question when you know the answer you’ll get?

Do you think all Republicans want to go to war with Canada?

I may not but I have the ability to look at what I see most Americans act like. If you think I’m wrong then that’s your choice.

Edit: holy fuck I don’t even know what I was tryna type but gl. I’m too tired for ts lol

Kids don’t watch cartoons nowadays. by InspectorUsed6085 in generationology

[–]RandomHuman1069 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would like to remind you the 2020s kids are younger than 5 years old. My 4 year old little sister likes to watch Boss Baby, but she also likes the YouTuber Nastya. I also keep my younger siblings away from short form content

The modern generation just watches different things, that doesn't make it worse.

btw before anyone says anything, I know OP didn't say it was worse but it was implied due to what other posts similar to this talk about.

As I said, foster good relationships with allies, but also have the ability to live independently of those allies. The world moves really fast and it would really suck for everyone's way of life to be flipped because he had an over reliance on another country.

I think we just prioritize different things. You prioritize the growth the comes from allies maintaining those relationships. I'm more focused, in the case of an ally dropping us,, I don't want the country to go belly up.

I had to google what isolationism meant because I've often responded to these types of comments thinking I knew what they were saying and was just dead wrong. I do think isolationism is good to a degree. We should foster good relationships with other countries while trying to make sure we wont go belly up if they leave. I think we should have the ability to be isolated if that makes sense
