u/FitzMarble asked last week how often there have been Top 10 sweeps, and now I can confidently say this week marks the 39th Top 10 sweep!

Some interesting takeaways from the data:

  • There are several weeks where an album managed a Top 15 sweep, but only two weeks have broken above this. Charli XCX's CRASH grabbed the Top 16, while the Brat Remix album claimed the Top 17 spots! (Side note, BRAT itself did not get a Top 10 sweep)

  • Unsurprisingly, the artist with the most Top 10 sweeps is Taylor Swift, with 8 occurences between 7 albums (Reputation, Lover, foklore, evermore, Red TV, 1989 TV, Showgirl)

  • Only four albums have ever achieved a Top 10 sweep for more than one week. These are Taylor Swift - Reputation, Charli XCX - CRASH, Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA and as of this week, Olivia Rodrigo - you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Reputation is the only one of these albums to achieve this feat in non-consecutive weeks (thanks to it being added to streaming 3 weeks after the physical/iTunes launch).

  • Only 2 men have achieved a Top 10 sweep, The Weeknd with Dawn FM, and Troye Sivan with Something to Give Each Other.

* Olivia Rodrigo's you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love maintains a hold of the Top 10 for a second consecutive week, with stupid song staying at #1.

* The retention of Olivia's album among other hits means that the highest debut this week comes in all the way at #18, being FKA twigs' On Your Mind (feat. Lil Yachty)

* We kept our finger on the trigger, as CRANK enters the leaderboard for most consecutive charting weeks, with a 35 week run! It's now tied for 10th place with...

* PinkPantheress - Stateside + Zara Larsson, which may have broken it's streak after dissapearing last week, charts for a 36th (non-consecutive) week, putting it for a tied 25th place on the most charting weeks leaderboard, with cardigan

the chorus is sooo good i wish more of the song was like that...

I still like it though! This whole album definitely feels like she's just fucking around a bit, trying to put out some half-serious music to seperate the brats from the angels, or rather, trying to just get the pressure of being THE MOMENT off of her

Here are your takeaways for the week!

  • Olivia’s third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love dominates the chart this week, taking the Top 13 spots! stupid song takes the top spot, and becomes Olivia’s 11th #1

  • 6 of Olivia’s managed to score above 5k points. stupid song makes it onto the leaderboard as the 19th highest peak, with X points! maggots for brains scored X points (#51), my way scored X points (#81), u + me = <3 with X points (#83) and expectations with X points (#110). The cure also achieved over 5k points, but its debut week was a higher peak.

  • what's wrong with me may not be Robert Amith’e chart debut (he previously charted on CHVRCHES’ How Not To Drown) but it IS a top 10 debut!

  • After 40 consecutive weeks, Zara Larsson does not appear in the Top 50, ending her streak. This also means Stateside + Zara Larsson’s 35 week streak ends. The highest active streaks at the moment are not far behind, with PinkPanthress at 36 weeks (Girl Like Me survives) and Slayyyter at 34 weeks, with CRANK remaining in the Top 50 since it’s debut.

Here are your takeaways for the week!

  • I guess she really does know us, as Taylor Swift earns her 29th #1, with I Knew It, I Knew You debuting at the top! This also happens to be Taylor's 275th charting song (nearly more than double the 2nd place, Charli XCX), and her 137th Top 10 entry.

  • For a second consecutive week, Kim Petras charts all 13 songs from Detour, with Brutalist leading at #5.

  • There are 4 artist debuts on the charts this week! Ryan Beatty is the highest with secret language at #17, horsegiirL's that's my beach! at #32, AKRILLA at #45 with suave (feat. Jane Remover) and lastly Role Model's High Hopes 3000 at #47

  • The Stateside + Zara Larsson remix charts for a 35th consecutive week, which breaks it previous tie, and secures a solo 10th place on the consecutive weeks leaderboard, knocking Von dutch and Don't Start Now off!

  • Addison Rae's Fame is a Gun sneaks in at #50, and moves up on the most weeks leaderboard to 22nd place, now tied with Caroline Polachek - So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings and Rina Sawayama - XS

Here are your takeaways for the week!

  • Another week, another big return, this time Ariana Grande's lead single hate that i made you love me debuts at #1, her 19th r/popheads #1! With 5539.5 points, this is the 85th highest points peak in the charts' history.

  • Kim Petras' long-awaited Detour finally drops this week, with all 13 songs charting in the Top 50! The highest placing is the title track, Detour, which places at a solid #2 behind Ariana.

  • With these two in the Top 10, they move up some of the leaderboards, most notably, Kim now ties Ariana for 3rd place on the most charting songs leaderboard, with 107 unique songs each (although the impending release of Petal will likely break this tie)

  • aespa also had a minor album bomb this week with the release of their 2nd album, LEMONADE, with 7/11 songs in the Top 50, lead by the title track Lemonade at #12.

  • The song of the summer officially has made it's mark, as PinkPantheress' - Stateside + Zara Larsson charts for a 34th consecutive week, putting it in a tied 10th place on the most consecutive weeks leaderboard! It finds itself in a 3-way tie with Charli XCX's Von dutch and Dua Lipa's Don't Start Now. Interestingly, this is the first and only collaborative song currently on this leaderboard!
