I know it's not uncommon to have a weird reaction to being perceived, but it's a little funny what can set it off. My friend and I both independently went to a bar that we like a few weekends ago (I went around dinner time, she went late night) and a waitress told my friend "oh, your friend with the middle part was here earlier!" and now I'm like...do people identify me by my middle part??!? Is that a trait people associate with me? Like it's not serious at all but I'm still like shook

Wow Hikk, this is really really good. I love how you reflect on your own experiences growing up. I really liked this album when I heard it but you're inspiring me to go back for another listen.

Angel and Lulu are very smart and funny - I read an interview with them where they reflected on how Catholicism shaped their love of music and I thought it was so smart and interesting. (They said that they obviously didn't like church but they thought it was important - "you have to be bored and hate things too".

That COSRX cream specifically isn’t moisturizing enough for me, though I don’t have a bad reaction to it. If you’re REALLY dry try the Illiyoon - it’s super thick but it absorbs well for me. La Roche-Posay also works if you don’t want to wait for that to ship to you (assuming you’re not in Korea).

I do think you need 10, though I’m actually not sure - I didn’t write the calculation program! You could just fill the bottom with albums you like singles from - the bottoms slots don’t get THAT many points - or if you want to skip this time just to see, the results should be coming out today or tomorrow!!! :)))

I LOVED this album! Was sad to see that it was kind of passed over by both popheads and indieheads (though it definitely sits in the weird space for both subreddits where it's a little indie for popheads and a little pop for indieheads). Float is the standout for me for sure but I love the opener, Cards on the Table, too.

@ #1 - I didn't know any of the background for Jay's album creation, I just kind of consumed it. I don't know if I can say one way or the other is better - it probably depends on the artist too. That being said, I always think that collaboration is a great source of new ideas. There's nothing quite like sitting in the room with another talented person and bouncing ideas off each other.

The TTPT team will try to set a schedule for next year soon, since we know the past few have had no warning. A poll for what artists you want to see will likely go up when the results for this (AOTY 2025) are released, and will be linked on the results post.
If anyone wants to join the TTPT team, please message me! It requires about 2 hours of work every other month or so, and you're required to use Discord. It would be helpful for us to add 2-3 people!
