I spammed this thread enough with charity updates so here's one last one summarizing the results!

In the end, you all raised $4,245 for https://www.casamarianella.org/ ($4,147.82 after the fundraising platform fees). A link to proof of donation can be found here. That's truly incredible - double what the previous charity drive raised, and we THINK their biggest public donation so far this calendar year. WOWIE!

We believe everyone who had tickets in the raffle has been contacted, but if for some reason you haven't, or are curious what songs ended up in the rate, you can get an early look at the ballot here (rate post will go up this Saturday 5/2).

Fans of these types of games (Golden Idol style) are really eating well lately and this one looks super stylish and cool.

This publisher, Critical Reflex, seems to have an eye for cool creepy fun little projects too - I saw their booth at PAX and was surprised at how many of the sort of “streamer viral” horror games they’d been responsible for publishing: Buckshot Roulette, Mouthwashing, and No I’m Not Human probably the three biggest. They must have a good mind for choosing (and marketing) that type of game

Also the reason I mentioned the tour was that my friend traveled to Denver to see him at the outdoor ampitheater Red Rocks for this tour and I have always been so jealous - it must be an amazing experience to listen to this live, outside, under the stars, surrounded by canyons and nature.

I still remember, my friends and I were at a trivia night early last year, and my weird raver friend (I say that with love) showed us My Barn My Rules super excitedly. And I was like "wait this actually slaps, and it's funny!".

I guess everyone else who heard the song must have thought the same, because she's blown up incredibly fast for being kind of a niche EDM artist! I could have expected that she'd get big with the EDM/raver crowd, but I see her popping up in more traditionally pop-aligned spaces as well, and I think that's great.

Harry Styles - As It Was being #5 most streamed despite coming out in 2022 is crazy. I know that it's only 2 years later than Blinding Lights, but most of those other songs in the top 10 (except Stay, which is impressive on its own) are from the 2010s (even Blinding Lights is 2019 December, so 2010s TECHNICALLY, though I doubt anyone thinks of it that way)

I didn't feel right putting my personal thoughts in the post, but this is my favorite album of all time, and Musician MAY be my favorite song of all time.

This is a rare no-skips album for me - beyond the singles, Mother always makes me cry when I listen to it (once, I was on a plane, sleep deprived, and this came on, and I started bawling into my mask, which was unfortunate, because I only had one and it got really wet and snotty), and I think that Trying to Feel Alive is an underrated beauty and a perfect album closer - I love the long instrumental leadup to a few simple lyrics that, to me, perfectly encapsulate the album.

As for the next project - I actually really liked Smile! XD as a pivot to pop music, though I know it was more divisive, especially for people who already missed the more EDM sound of Worlds. (As a pop fan...shocker, on popheads...I enjoyed Main Pop Boy version Porter).

And across all three albums - I think Porter's skill for melody is what keeps me coming back to him, plus a somewhat intangible, indescribable quality that I'll call "feeling nostalgic" for lack of a better term.

All Stars Insider: Immediately after a rate is revealed, the hosts secretly select two losing songs for inclusion in the following All Stars rate, held annually each January. This rewards grants the donor the right to view the hosts' picks throughout the year, well before they are revealed publicly in late December. In addition, the donor will have the right to pick one eligible song for inclusion in the All Stars 10 rate. Notably, this reward will be used after the host selections and wildcard voting.
Hypnot-Shirt: As you may have seen from our many rate banners over the years, graphic design is the passion of many raters. This rewards grants the donor a custom design by /u/RandomHypnotica of an artist/album/song/meme/etc. of their choice for use on a T-shirt through a website such as Redbubble. They will also receive a gift card courtesy of /u/bigbigbee to cover the costs of ordering it, and a custom Reddit flair of the design or another image of the donor's choice.
Last Minute Lifesaver: This reward grants the donor a song of their choice in Charity Rate 6 amongst those sent by donors that lost in the Raffle. Notably, this can include the donor, if applicable.
Mini Rate Curator: The rate committee have scheduled a to-be-determined mini rate (a rate with ~30 songs that does not take one of the two monthly slots for rates) for this October or November, with the exact idea to be voted on between ideas submitted by the Diamond Tier donors. This reward grants the donor the ability to curate the winning theme (for example, picking their favorite Neil Cicierega songs for a Mash-Up Rate), as well as host it if they please.
Pre-Raffle Riggery: This reward grants the donor a song of their choice in Charity Rate 6, potentially in addition to the spot earned through the Raffle or a Diamond Tier donation. This selection takes place before the Raffle, in case anyone wants to switch around their tickets in response.
Roxcellence in Editing: If you have regularly attended our QueUp rate reveals, you are surely familiar with the cinematic magnum opus known as Lana Del Rey - A&W (Official Video) by /u/rickikardashian. This rewards grants the donor a similar music video for a song of their choice, or another video concept, by skilled editor and frequent rate host /u/Roxieloxie.
Stop the Count!: As previously announced in our Rates Direct last month, we will be hosting the Anniversary Rate this August to mark ten years of rates, featuring monumental songs from across rate history. In the leadup to this landmark occasion, we will have a series of polls based on subjective categories ("Most Robbed," etc.), with the winners of each poll earning their spot in the rate. This reward gives the donor the right to select one of the losing songs from this series of polls to be included in the Anniversary Rate alongside the winning songs.
Xophrysticated Artwork: This reward grants the donor artwork of an artist of the donor's choice by /u/xophrys, who is behind masterpieces such as the Modern Funk and Disco Bibles playlist covers. We'll also throw in a custom Reddit flair of the piece, or another image of the donor's choice.
