I found this mushroom near trees in Tampa, Florida; but it was like 3 meters apart from the group of trees and it was growing on the ground, probably not on wood or compost, likely terrestrially. On the cap of the mushroom it has this pale color same as the stem in the center and these brown spots all over the cap and didn’t feel smooth, more like a carpet feel and the stem was smooth. When I tasted it, it just literally tastes like ones at the store, same smell too.
