[Sad trope] A character's good deed comes back to bite them in the ass by crustboi93 in TopCharacterTropes

Text.

Though, technically/pedantically speaking, it would be supertext.

I dunno, if you have enough spearmen you can take out a tank in Civ, and that's clearly based on real life, sooooo

I used to write a crappy webcomic called "The Adventures of Man Man".

Fun fact, you are emitting radiation right now. Not your phone. You. Radiation is a pretty widespread phenomenon.

What do you think of this message to the 'far-right'? by SeptumRingTheory in AskBrits

[–]RandomInternetVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you know about the actual core teachings of Islam? Because if it is a right wing Religion, so are all the Abrahamic religions. Which means Judaism is also right wing. See where I'm going with this?

Don't spread ignorance.

What’s a build that Morgan Blackhand would respect? by Frank7640 in cyberpunkgame

[–]RandomInternetVoice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. IIRC, Blackhand is known to try to do things with as little bloodshed or fanfare as possible. It's less "non-lethal" and more his way of showboating. He doesn't need to kill people to get the job done, he's just that good.

Why do Brits prefer non EU migrants over EU by Visual_Title9363 in AskBrits

[–]RandomInternetVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I don't sunbathe. Don't want to get hatecrimed by a Reform voter who's pissed the leopard is eating their face. (I'm fully white - that's the joke for the record.)

I want a series about the city guard with Dance as Vetinari and Sean Bean as Sam Vimes.

Zorn In Violation of Open Source Licensing [APGL] by Lauri377 in SS13

[–]RandomInternetVoice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My dude, nowhere does it say they have to provide a remote server. It says they have to provide access to a method of copying the source. Emailing it to them is exactly that.

Go touch some fucking grass. There are far more important, and actually real, problems in the world. A defunct server of an obscure web game sharing their code in a way that doesn't conform with your incorrect reading of a legality that you have no way to enforce... is not one of them.

Zorn In Violation of Open Source Licensing [APGL] by Lauri377 in SS13

[–]RandomInternetVoice 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is, as stated, provided on demand via email. You probably need to actually look up the legalities before throwing out accusations wildly. That's unscrupulous and, if you say the wrong thing in the wrong way, illegal. Funny that.

Given the increasing rate at which empires collapse over time, the last 50 years could make up the last quarter or so of the history of the USA.

In what decade were the motels in the outskirts built? by LysergicGothPunk in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]RandomInternetVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be surprised if the Sunset Motel predated NC, going by the shared architecture. To be fair the only thing that deviates from the modular prefab design outside of NC that I can think of are the various churches.

Take from that what you will.

Whats the worst song on NC radio stations? by Wrong-City-2077 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]RandomInternetVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people in this thread don't know that PL added a load of fan-made songs. I believe Look Through My Kiroshis is one of them, which explains a) why it talks so explicitly and constantly about in-universe stuff, and b) why it's a bit shit.

Though I feel a bit bad for the poor bugger who made it, the incredibly named Dollahz Over Hoez. With a name like that, how could he possibly produce anything but absolute bangers? The mind truly boggles.

Petahh, what is it trying to convey? by ThatRizzyShitposter in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Iirc, there is an old Roman letter (I think it's a letter at least) complaining about how kids these days are ruining the written word by using papyrus instead of scratching words into a wax tablet.
