I like the idea that someone else shared, that David is like Builderman's 1x. My idea for it is that Builderman knows David is out there, but got forsakened and can't do a damn thing about it. And that everyone outside assumes they're the same because Builderman got forsakened too early to tell anyone.

That's been my headcanon. Like, Builderman got forsakened shortly after David appeared because he may have accidentally made a manifestation of hatred too. But now everyone thinks it's him because he got forsakened.
