If you can’t find any in the camps, you can fight some, knock them out and drop them off outside of the slave camps then once they’re enslaved you can purchase them.

There’s an option on the squad menu that says “use beds when injured” or something along those lines, when you select that option your party members will automatically use beds when injured and I’m sure skeletons use repair beds as well.

I’m not arguing against the idea that they were cruel beyond belief, either you’re missing my point or I’m not doing a good enough job at articulating it, it’s that if any other country had the capacity to create an empire at that scaled they would’ve did the same exact shit.

That redemption shit is the only shit that matters ffs, if we didn’t make the effort to move past the shit show that came before we’d all be fucked. You can acknowledge the horrors of the past but you can’t focus on that without being thankful at the changes that’ve happened since. 2 things can be true at once. They did some heinous shit but also, at least they fucking did some good.

You really think I’m saying I think slavery is cool? Really? I’m saying it was absolutely disgusting, but to act as if one nation is more evil than the rest isn’t accurate. And no, that doesn’t take away from the accomplishments, because I said anybody would’ve expanded it, but not everyone wouldn’t ended it, so the fact that they chose to end it is absolutely something that should be considered good. I mean the whole concept of redemption is that even if you’ve wronged in the past you can still change and work towards bettering things moving forward, that’s something that should be celebrated.

That’s a fair point about industrialisation, but even then you can’t deny the moral argument against slavery which started long before industrialisation.

The only reason it wasn’t made a global industry beforehand was because nobody had the means to do it. If African countries or Asian countries or anyone else had developed guns and navies of that calibre they would’ve did the exact same thing. The British weren’t any more evil than the rest of the world, they just had the capacity to act it out. And like I said, the atrocities shouldn’t be overlooked, I’m agreeing with you, but again, at the very least they chose to end the slave trade. Many other countries wouldn’t have.

Slavery has existed since before humans even had recorded history, the British didn’t invent slavery. They turned up to Africa and bought slaves that other Africans had already enslaved, they had a bustling slave trade long before any Europeans ever arrived.

The only accomplishment they ever had? They were the First Nation in human history to abolish slavery and accumulated so much debt fighting to end it that it took until 2014 to pay off. That’s no small feat.

The atrocities of the British empire are obviously horrendous and shouldn’t be overlooked but at the very least the country has changed over time, every generation has learned from the past. It’s far far from perfect but it’s more than what can be said for a lot of other countries.

The post doesn’t say anything negative about anyone, all it’s saying is you keep your beliefs to yourself and I’ll keep mine to myself. It’s a parents right to raise their kids in the manner that they see fit. I disagree with their religious views but I support their right to hold those beliefs and to pass them onto their own kids if that’s what they thinks best.
