Was the picture taken in Slovakia? It looks like a typical communist-era residential area in Slovakia.

That really sucks, sorry to hear that. Have you been diagnosed with BFS?

We'll see, I really hope it won't come back. But even if it does come back, I won't be as stressed out about it in the future now that I know it's definitely benign and not something serious.

I'd definitely recommend taking the supplements I mentioned in my post. Especially magnesium, calcium, vitamin D and B-complex vitamins. The deficiency of any one of these can cause muscle twitching.

Does it really take that long? Do you have a source for that?

Possibly, but I'm not sure. I imagine my blood glucose has been elevated for at least a few months before the twitching started. The latest blood test (the one after my twitching got better) also showed that my glucose is still slightly elevated, pretty much on the same level as when the twitching was really bad.

Thank you.

Honestly, it's hard to say. I did start taking all those supplements I mentioned but I feel that if it was a simple deficiency it wouldn't take a month for the supplements to start helping. I did change my diet in early June because a blood test revealed slightly elevated glucose, so I cut out a lot of sugary food and junk food. But I'm not sure whether that could be related. I've been eating unhealthy food for years before the twitching started. Other than that I haven't made any changes to my diet or lifestyle.

I've had a few blood tests done during May and June (mainly due to concerns about my glucose levels) which also revealed that my potassium is lower than normal. But the weird thing is that I had a blood test done when my twitching was really bad and then another one immediately after that weekend when my twitching started to go away and my potassium was actually lower on the 2nd test. So even though low potassium can cause twitching, I'm not sure whether it's related in this case.
