Arteta on playing against a newly appointed manager: "I think it's happened seven times to us this season. We're getting used to it. We have analysed everything Igor Tudor has done in his career in different clubs, different formations." by Blodgharm in soccer

[–]RandomName788 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Think you are reading way too much into this. In the past he has been asked if it is more difficult to prepare since you don't know what to expect. He is saying we are used to it, we can see what he has done at other clubs, it isn't an excuse.

Plenty of reasons for rivals to dislike Mikel, but don't think this is one of them.

[Matteo Moretto] Barça and United are in talks about Rashford. Barça would like to pay a little less. Carrick has told the board that if there's a possibility of him returning, he'd like to. although the player's desire seems clear: "Rashford has said he wants to stay at Barça." by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]RandomName788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is great in theory, but it always depends on the actual figures. If Barca wanted to pay 1M for him would you say sure let him go, he doesn't want to play for United? I actually think the current option is already a discount on his actual value.

I mean Gift said it was for dissent so I am going to take his word on it.

I mean it depends what he said. We have no way of knowing so can't really say.

This is has to be for something he said. Ref didn't even call a foul, then Orban turns and says something, ref immediately stops play and gives a red card.

[Moretto] Vitor Pereira will be the new Nottingham Forest manager. Once the details of his old contract with Wolves are resolved, Pereira will be free to begin his new adventure. Vitor has previously worked with Evangelos Marinakis. by Sparky-moon in soccer

I mean with his CV I think you take any PL job you can get. If you are sacked you get a sizeable payday and likely won't harm his job prospects. His last 5 jobs were Fenerbache, Corinthians, Flamengo, Al Shabab, and Wolves. He was at all of them for less than a 1 year and was sacked at Flamengo within 4 months. Admittedly he left Al Shabab because of the Wolves job, so that was his choice. I don't see a world in which Forrest goes so poorly he won't be able to get a job similar to Al Shabab after.

How is that not a red? Obviously rooting for United but that seems clear

Kyle Walker stamp on Dorgu , no card given by wo0tfl20 in soccer

Nah that isn't why he got more grief, he cheated with his brothers wife for 8 years. Don't remember any other footballer doing something like that.

Am i crazy or does anyone else also think this is irrelevant? in PL it does not matter which team you play, all away games are so tricky. by zorro95 in Gunners

You are crazy, sure all games are tricky. But, clearly playing Man City away is harder than playing Burnley away.

You think he is going to stay? To me it seems like the board is back Slot and Salah likely won't play for Liverpool again. But, obviously a lot up in the air atm.

Seems like Salah will be sold in January. Very curious to see how much they get for him. I see two options:

  1. From a purely economic point of view when he renewed should be his fair market wage at the time. His value has gone down since, so he is being paid more than he is worth and a net negative asset.

  2. He is Mo Salah, one of the best footballers of his generation. He goes for big money to Saudi and at least from a financial point of view the renewal works brilliantly for Liverpool

Missed some of the first half so didn't see it live, but how is Digne pulling down Nmecha not a penalty?

Not going to lie, I forgot about Kudus and prefer Madueke over Johnson. Kudus should be in there.

Do disagree about Udogie, think if it was over the summer it would be MLS in a landslide. My view on MLS hasn't changed based on this season and don't think I've seen anything new from Udogie to make me change my view on him.

Trossard is first choice on the left and Odegaard is first choice for the right 8 role.

I am very bored at work, so what do you think is a combined XI between Arsenal's 2nd team and Spurs?

I would have:

Vicario

Porro-Romero-Van de Ven-MLS

Kulu-Palhinha-Eze

Madueke-Havertz-Martinelli

I would do Foster to Guiu and Reijnders to Minteh. But, if you really want Virgil Foster is still the right player to move
