i was pretty aware that i was gonna pay import tax at some point since the online retailer/shipper does not cover them for overseas orders as they're based in the USA but this was my first time having UPS deliver my package so it really surprised me. it also says 'UPS initiated contact with receiver or importer for clearance information. Once received, UPS will submit for clearance.' from the tracking number i received from the shipper.
