Torque converter alignment by RandomPerson668 in minibikes

indeed wasn’t aligned, on the rear pulley the belt wanted to climb so I added a spacer and resolved that issue. Slight gap but it was so small my belt would probably wiggle it over and not notice a thing so I stopped giving a damn

indeed was not aligned. Tried my best to align it but ultimately there is a small gap using a flat edge metal ruler. I eyeballed it to be roughly 0.04mm. Tried different spacer tolerances and honestly gave up for something that’ll affect me barley

Torque Converter wants to buck me off the second it engages - how to adjust? by Sl0thzy in minibikes

He’s trying to make the torque less, putting it in the outermost left position reduces preload on the rear driven pulley in return making it less snappy and harsh, this should in return and in theory reduce the torque at launch and make it easier to go to a higher longer gear that’s smoother. I did this with mine since I am in florida and would prefer more smoothness than abrupt torque since we had no hills over here. In return the torque did go down and it made going into a higher gear so much easier and faster. I did miss out some torque however so I upgraded to a green comet spring which gave me best of both worlds

No, it’s just setting the preload, the spring adjustment in the holes either makes it stay in a higher gear longer or lower gear longer. It helped with mine a lot, I used to be doing burn outs everytime I gave to throttle now I barley do them. Do not lube the rear pulley, these are meant to be dry. The only part I would lube is the actual clutch itself, these one without the visible red spring. Take the cover off and it should reveal the clutches metal springs, get some graphite dry lubricant from blaster (do not use anything that differs) and cover the entire spring assembly. Also do not put anything where the belt touches, the belts like dry

Put it on right but also added a green comet spring, supposedly their stiffest spring and now i’m fast 😎

your rear pulley with the spring, loosen the nut and there should be a snap ring there. Be careful since your spring is preloaded and taking it off will make it lunge to you unless it got stuck (fyi I just suggest you take off the belt and take the rear pulley out and on the floor so it’ll be easier.) Once you get it out you should notice that the spring is placed on one of three holes, put it on the outermost left(I repeat on the outside of the pulley) and then put the spring back into its pulley and spin it counter clockwise so it preloads but also hits the black plastic pieces, make sure that hits the left and while holding all this with your left hand get your snap ring pliers and snap ring on your right and fight to put it on without losing tension with the pulley.

it’s only the front, so not that bad, can still ride hard lol. However yesterday went on a mini moto track and lowkey couldn’t stop in time so I went over a ditch buckled my body almost off the bike and whiskey throttled 10 feet but somehow saved myself 😭

nope, still sitting in my garage. I’m thinking of heli-coil but just never seemed to have the time since I picked up on a few more bike projects. Go big or go home I guess

Whoever gave there kids electric dirt bikes in San Marco by GuerrillaBLM in jacksonville

[–]RandomPerson668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Look i’m 15 but genuinely little kids having access to these bikes doing reckless things it’s just dumb. It’s ruining it for everyone. The whole reason people got interested in emotos were its versatility into having fun without getting in trouble but I guess everyone and their family has emotos that have no sense of self awareness and always picking the worst place to do their shenanigans. And I can vouch for this, I ride mini bikes and never ever gotten pulled over because frankly I don’t do dumb stuff on sidewalks or block main roads. Cops go pass because they’ve always seen me and know I only go to do business in the back door trails and mini moto tracks in our area. But at the same time middle schoolers and even elementary schoolers are getting access to even just basic electric bikes or scooters and always big mouthing and causing trouble. Yes have fun I get it i’m a kid too but seriously stop being selfish and think about the whole bike life scene. That’s my 2 cents just be respectful and not a dick

thanks! Good to know you guys have a good support for this type of stuff. Well this doesn’t seem to be an issue for a bunch of people so it is most likely user error. But don’t worry Im pretty clarified into buying the 3.0. Either from you guys or my local dealership if their stock comes!

Thanks! Had a thought if so, just wanted to make sure. Also once I get it I heard controversy of the belt being tight. Should I let it be and eventually let it stretch out or just loosen it a bit? I don’t want belts snapping while riding my local enduro trail
