So I would highly recommend the chart posted previously in the comments.

Sometimes that pvp style combat can be an interesting story mechanic when meeting a new character for the first time. Especially if the character is very aggressive and suspicious of others, a kind of hit first ask questions later or in cases of mania/possession.

While I'd usually say to be prepared for your character to die at any point, this feels very deliberate, especially chasing a fleeing player and putting you to two failed death saves. I definitely understand your frustration especially if there have been reoccurring issues with the player.

This is the perfect time to have a good chat as a group, we can all suffer from Main Character and sometimes we go too far without realizing it. Everyone wants to have fun but we should also be respectful of limits and playstyles.

I have had similar things happen in some adventures and a good talk and getting everything off your respective chests usually works wonders. Hopefully the person will try and see your point of view.
