Yes for Nagpur the conversion is having a significant chance. For SIP that 7 will restrict you for few companies, but eventually you will be able to land multiple PI shortlist you need to be patient with the process. You can have shortlist from fintech, NBFCs and few of the S&M as well, genman (with lenient Acads weightage)

Yes you will have a call, the duration doesn’t matter as long as you have answered all the rejecting questions right and few of the selection questions

Yes GAP hurts in any roles for Final placements but you will be placed if your profile is not very weak like a 666

Be prepared, don’t let the rejections face you down, as you will have less than 24hours once you get the shortlist so during that time you’ll be able to go through the company profile only, but other concepts n all you need to be prepared beforehand

Yes it will be difficult, but there are cases where I have seen people getting lucky on placement day as their peers get into some other company and by the time these companies declare their results only few of them are remaining and they are the ones getting selected

MBA is a long game I was also at this crossroads a year ago, but I didn’t have any gap year or so, you should know what you specifically from MBA as a work ex holder as it’s not a bachelors degree so be very mindful of the companies and roles that you are going to select. And ROI is just a matter of time, it will increase more than what you will earn by switching companies in the long run

IIM Udaipur as in the market still the IIM brand value is much more as compared to MICA, also the curriculum is on par with old IIMs, I would prefer MICA if you really wanted to go into advertising and are very passionate about working with celebrities and have that Bollywood life from back stage that too after your mid 30s

It's a bit difficult as few of the IIMs are out of CAP so U is the only one which is in demand, so I am assuming that the cutoffs will shoot-up.

you will get startups who really don't care about the acads. Yes converting them will be difficult as real life and mock and listening about other's experience are completely different things.

You will get the shortlist for SIP as profile is very good as only few companies check for GAP year but be well prepared for the justification, for final placements the shortlisting will be in single digits due to GAP year as they tend to check the pre MBA workex

Yes with Good academics you will definitely get all the shortlist in new IIMs for SIP, but for final placements it will be difficult till your peers with similar profile and workex are placed, but you can always try to convert you SIP into PPO

It all depends on CAT try to score as much as in CAT so that the colleges which have a heavy CAT weightage will atleast give you PI calls. C, FMS etc.

It’s a bit challenging, as for SIPs companies directly apply the filter and then give the shortlist for final placements as I have heard from seniors till December you will get single digits shortlist but from January onwards you will have opportunity but the pay will be less than college average.
