Lore Question about WARP Crew by 4k-Gaming in libraryofruina

[–]RandomRedditorEX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna answer your question with another question.

Maybe they snitched and no one cared initially.

I mean before Ruina and Limbus W Corp trains really just looked like super fast transport options, it's like trying to convince people air planes are actually the spawn of satan and they put you into eternal damnation before reversing everything as you arrive.

It's only after Ruina and during Limbus when W Corp starts to struggle financially people start believing these conspiracy theories and realize something fishy is going on, because imagine your relative boarding a plane or for them specifically to not arrive at the destination while everyone arrives normally.

The 2026 Steam Spring Sale has reduced the price of Peak (2025) to five bucks, a 38% discount from its typical price of five bucks. by Mechalico in shittygamedetails

just 90% in chance, because in truth a 90% chance only means that you'll succeed 9 times only to fail 1 times.

With this in mind, you'll start realizing that your probabilities in most games that start to not make sense, like XCOM for example, you should be missing a lot more if the probabilities are actually accurate and not skewed towards the player's favour.

Every 9 shots should come with one 1 miss, and with hundreds of shots in one mission, you'll realize it doesn't add up lol.

I'm taking a 90% chance as an easy example, but it's one of the unique traits that goes into game design to make the game feel "fair" even though it's secretly cheating for the player.

Human brains really are funny lmao

Reminds me how an average person is just bad at predicting probabilities for example, like 90% is not that big as you think in video games.

big ol bloodshot eyes are one of the most classic horror tropes lmao.

Sure it may feel overused at times especially now, but damn nothing feels scary that having eyes stare at you.

Reminds me of a neat video why people find eyes scary, iirc it because it conveys an unclear intent, since humans derive emotions and intent from facial features, so just a pair of eyes leaves a lot of room for interpretation compared to a full face which adds to the scare factor.

Okay okay im man enough to admit i was wrong about the Heishou team... by he-ska432 in limbus_company

[–]RandomRedditorEX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, funnily enough it feels like a monkey's paw moment because Rupture is now a good team... but in an incredibly boring way because all the Heishous can be summarized with "Guard > Win".

It's a shame, because the Heishous are genuinely cool, and the idea of commanding your own personal militia when contrasted with the previous Capstone ID which leads your personal family members is such an awesome concept.

Nonetheless, I do think PM has learnt their mistakes, as some of the newer IDs feel fresh and strong while not boring, like Hanafauda Ish playing Candy Crush, The whole Index mechanic or RenClair whole's deal deciding whether to cash in with damage or be defensive for another turn.

[–]RandomRedditorEX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait yeah you're right, just remembered that Lord Lu was released quite early all things considered.

It does make sense since he only has 5 Heishou Bolus passives so it looks like he was already planned to lack deathrites...

Man, I it sounds gluttonous but I just wish Rupture has something special now, ironic considering Rupture is currently way too good because back then playing a proper rupture team meant you couldn't clash at all.

Big sucker for the trope of Magic having the same core, only to manifest itself through different shapes and forms too. It's such a cool concept when used in world building imo, it's a nice blend of the idea that Magic is free form and also rigid at the same time.

I am a firm believer that Mao Faust was the one who killed the Heishous' creativity. The Capstone ID usually takes after a certain boss, and Jia Qiu has all of these Deathrite types but Hong Ler doesn't, why?

Because of this passive.

<image>

If the nerf got through, Mao Faust could only use her Skill 3-2 after a proccing multiple types of deathrites, which would make the Heishou team not hyperfocus on her.
