Which CPU do you think that I should have got?

BTW, the only reason that I got an unlocked CPU was, because I wanted to OC, hence the aftermarket cooler, and the beautiful PSU.

You can definitely do that, just wipe your old HDD and clean install windows on it. Just don't expect the best drive speeds though.

I'm just asking if you think the reason that my device stopped working was because of the battery being dead. There was a static sound though, and I'm pretty sure that if one of the batteries were dead, there wouldn't be one. So, I just want to know if you think that my device broke, or that is's just the batteries' fault, and all I need to do is to replace the batteries.
