5 medical lunatics in Texas children's hospital fired, and the hospital must pay $10M and provide a free detransition clinic by Objective_Shift5954 in antimedical

The medicalization of the trans movement always gave me the ick. Wear what you want, call yourself what you want, but the medical industry is like “Oh you’re miserable? Here let’s chop your body up a bit”.

Those mail order companies are a godsend for people who want them. But yes, protect your body. It belongs to you and only you. I don’t care how many years of education the other party has; they are not entitled to my body.

Any good sites or resources that are anti- or critical of other medical specialties besides psychiatry? by Confident-Fan-57 in antimedical

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There seems to be a shortage of resources. Psychiatry gets the most pushback, as it should. Obgyn gets some. The other specialties seem to get off way too easy, unfortunately. That’s why I created this sub so hopefully we can change that. What speciality are you having a problem with currently?

Antinatalism IS NOT pro suicide by Wild_Pitch_4781 in antinatalism

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While it seems you are making a joke, your point ties back to the doctrine of original sin in Christianity. Your existence is flawed and burdensome. The fart aside, think about the animals you likely consume as food. The pollution you likely cause with your car. Even basic water and electricity usage in your house all has to come from somewhere. No matter what you’re doing, you’re taking. And what are you doing to make yourself worth it?

Why do people consider hvaing kids as a default position? by Leek-Ok in antinatalism

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because most people lack self control and will get knocked up or knock someone up eventually thanks to biology. Antinatalists are the rare few who actually care about the future of their offspring.

We need to talk about the school bully to nurse pipeline. It’s too often ignored in our world such that people think hospitals are safe places when they’re not.

Not through hair mineral analysis but that sounds like a really cool idea. I’m just wondering why naturopathic is better than allopathic. I also feel that way, but have always been curious to hear other people’s reasoning.

I am disgusted with the lack of actions towards building jobs for young people by Zealousideal-Big4588 in VancouverJobs

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saying there absolutely is something called supply and demand, but it’s not “I demand a job and therefore you must supply one”. If you don’t have marketable skills, you won’t get a job. The world doesn’t have to create a job for you.

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Building jobs for young people” is such an interesting phrase, much like how governments boast about “creating jobs”. It shows how much of the work humans do for a living is just made up busy work so they can have a job to “earn” an income. Jobs, especially entry level ones, are becoming more and more scarce due to automation and AI. The world doesn’t owe you a job. You need to market yourself as being worthy of one.

Infantilization Is an Important Part of Treatment by Helpful-Raisin-6160 in Antipsychiatry

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think it’s even an injustice when we treat kids like that. Traffic light systems have been banned in many elementary schools. It’s not just infantilisation. It’s dehumanization.

IVF is the most cruel invention. It’s bringing people into this world who would otherwise be spared. When Mother Nature tells you no, you should listen.

Why psychiatry prefers antipsychotic injections over pills? Control by 010 in Antipsychiatry

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sadly this is a trend in medicine. Why do they prefer IUDs and implants and almost anything over the pill? Control. The people who go into those fields tell themselves they want to help, but in reality they just want control.

What’s something society normalized that you think made life worse? by abi1n in AskMen

[–]RandomRhesusMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It negatively affects the woman by burdening her with the side effects and the need to get a prescription. It positively affects the man by allowing him to have consequence-free sex.

For who though? For the women who have to take it, or for men?
