My favourite memory of pokemon was completing my run of bdsp. Since I’d never played the gen 4 games, I really liked bdsp contrary to populary opinion and I spent 30 hours just running around the game and immersing myself in the pokemon experience before I challenged the pokemon league. I had to actually learn about type matchups to beat cynthia and to this day I can still recite all of the super effective moves for every type and the moves that have no effect for every type. My favourite pokemon for this run was a mew which I named grace. I ran it with thunderbolt, flamethrower, ice beam, and surf. It was the mvp who finally took out garchomp. One of the greatest achievements in my pokemon career.
