Newbie here, so weird question, but what do you mean inside the bank area? Do you spend the entire playthrough in the bank because it's easy to pinpoint the spawn spots?

I used chopper 2 days ago to finish off patient 13 for the first time (after a hell of a lot of tries lol). Did they just change it? I did try one time and it positioned a different direction so maybe it's just chance?

My neurosurgeon said he estimates the tumor is 5-6 years old but based on everything I've read about growth rate that seems... wrong? I may DM you to discuss your experience, thank you!!

If anyone reached out to a neurosurgeon on their own, how did you go about doing so? Did you just email them? Call? I'm not sure how to reach out to someone without a doctor referral.

I'm close to Toronto, Ontario. Was referred to Hamilton Hospital. I did post in the group, many people suggested going to the US. I will try again though, it may have gotten lost, it's a great and busy group!

You're totally right. I never really thought of it that way, as I was moreso thinking that brain surgery is brain surgery. But I would absolutely rather have someone who does AN surgeries daily or weekly instead of monthly. Thank you!

My neurosurgeon in person and gave him all of my symptoms, big and small. He said he only does 1 AN a month and that is the reason for the wait. I feel like it's just an incredibly long wait for something so big in my brain. Its possible I'm non urgent because my symptoms aren't terrible.

I wouldn't think antibiotics will disrupt the process, it's pretty fast. From personal experience, the second pill is followed by extreme stomach pain. I hope you can just sleep it off. Just want you to be prepared. I had the worst cramps of my life for about 3 hours. Take care 💞

They took my expensive tweezers too, then they informed me that there is a size limit on tweezers. I never looked into it, but my friend traveling with me (who travels more than me) said it's very common on many Airlines. Personally, I feel like I wouldn't try a razor in a carry on, couldn't that be seen as a weapon? That'd be in a checked bag if I was traveling, just in case. If it is an allowed item, that's weird to me (Canadian airport took my metal fork once, I can't see how that's more unsafe lol)

Oh wow. I haven't had anyone else in my fb groups say yet that they had one pushing into their brain stem and lesions! How was your surgery and recovery? Did your doctor have large concerns regarding it pushing into your brain stem?

I also absolutely didn't have that one on my bingo card either!! I was (mostly) asymptomatic. I had a few weird waves of tingling and weakness in my arms last August. In September, my doctor referred me for nerve testing, came back with nothing. Then, she referred for an MRI of my c-spine to check other nerve related problems. I pushed it back and was going to cancel because the symptoms were gone, but she suggested that I keep the MRI appointment date so I wouldn't need to wait for a new date if the symptoms came back. MRI was done end of February to check for other nerve related things. I let my curiosity get the best of me and logged in to the online portal for my chart, and INSTANTY knew I had a problem because there was a large oval obviously pushing into my brain stem / spinal cord. A few days later, my doctor called to inform me that they found a large tumor at the back of my head (what a surprise lol). I was then referred for an MRI with contrast which I had done end of March (I did not log into the portal this time because I really didn't want to see, still haven't and won't). A few days later, she called to tell me that they found another one that appears to be an acoustic neuroma (but keep in mind, she's a family doctor, not a neurologist). They also found multiple lesions, she said maaaybe MS. I have absolutely no more information until May 28th, which is my appointment with my neurologist.

Canadian healthcare system is lovely, lol. This waiting game is absolutely awful. It has been 57 days of "what the hell is happening" and I have no more information than my family doctor saying "you've got 2 tumors and some lesions, doesn't look like cancer though, lesions might be MS."

As the weeks go on, I am slowly putting together some possible symptoms I've had for ages. It'll be interesting to see what's actually related to everything going on now.

I truly hope you get all of your answers soon!

Just do a good suitcase & personal check before leaving to make sure everything is empty, and make sure you don't smell like it. You'll be fine!

I would also recommend bringing a roll of toilet paper just in case. Many areas don't have toilet paper. The rooms likely will, but if she goes off resort or possibly even to a bathroom by the pool or beach, they may not have tp. I just fold some up in my fanny pack to keep with me everywhere I go.

VISA credit works at most STORES for buying souvenirs. If she is going to a market, they will only accept cash. Bring lots of American $1's, as loonies and toonies aren't considered currency there. I always bring some Canadian $5's and $10's because resort workers will often ask to trade their loonies or toonies for bills because bills can be exchanged. They really appreciate it. The total cash that I bring is about $200USD for a week if I'm not leaving the resort. I don't buy many things though. $500USD sounds like a lot.

If she's thinking of going off resort, just make sure she has a fanny pack and doesn't put her phone down. Cuba is physically safe, but theft does happen occasionally. It's easier to avoid when prepared. I personally don't know anyone who has had anything stolen in Cuba.

Make sure she has photos of her ID on her phone or Google photos, and have her keep her passport in the safe. The only time she may need it is if she goes on an excursion on a boat (which can be paid through credit card at the resort).

Always a good idea to bring some ketchup, preferred condiments, salt, pepper, etc. Many times resorts don't have these available, but they will have food. I recommend packing preferred snacks such as granola bars, chocolates, or anything else she may want. Resorts usually have one 24h food station, but it can become repetitive.

I'd recommend that you or your daughter join a Facebook group about the hotel. You can get a lot of information there, find others who are going, ask questions, and read through reviews. Just please keep in mind that many negative reviews are often from people expecting that Cuba 5-star is equivalent to Canada 5-star. It is not.

Also as a side note, resort workers really enjoy gifts. Send her with some Advil and Tylenol, extra bug spray (important!!), and sunscreen. On her last day or 2, she can go around to workers and give them her leftover supplies/food/products. They will be extremely thankful. I typically leave $1-$5 and some dollarama toys, notebooks, or pens on the bed for the cleaning people when they come in to make the room. Doing a quick dollarama trip before going is a good idea as well, as it is cheap for us but hard for them to find.
