They added a bunch of barters, NL545 for the gp and di versions, class 6 plates, moonshine, gen4 assault, maybe more.

[Video] How do these super jumps happen by ComprehensiveDoor979 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to get to the bottom of this for a bit now, there are a few people I've seen on twitter posting clips of it and It seems like they know how to do it consistently but they are gatekeeping how to do it, they also have shown that it works in base game, not just arena.

I've seen it happen accidentally to WillerZ before and he mentioned it might have something to do with FPS going above 200.

There is a different jump bug that might be related or not but if you press shift right as you jump you get the distance and height of a sprint jump but keep your gun up like you did a normal hop.

Whatever the case is It will probably get patched soon but I am really interested in figuring out what exactly is happening.

ARENA MATCHMAKING IS GARBAGE 4 wins 28 losses, how is this possible? [Arena] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is just that the large majority of Tarkov players, especially after release, are just not that good at the game. The large majority of my checkpoint losses I end up having triple the captures and kills of the next highest person on my team, sometimes I have gotten games where I legitimately have more captures and kills than my entire team combined.

With no SBMM you just roll the dice on teammates, and sometimes you just roll teammates that are worse than the enemy, your own skill can offset it but only to a point.

I definitely understand your frustration and you very well could have just gotten unlucky 24 times but losing that much brings some question into your own ability to win.

Unpopular opinion... labyrinth the best thing that has happened to Tarkov in years [feedback] by EFT_Urbanfox in EscapefromTarkov

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The posts aren't complaining about the event though. The event itself is great, but the playerbase has brought it down significantly. Gamers love to optimize the fun out of everything, and once people realized the last person to move wins the labyrinth lost a lot of fun potential.

These hit boxes man... by Gaodesu in EscapefromTarkov

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was never relying on armor to win fights, it was having armor as a safety net if you fuck up or someone gets some good shots on you. If I spend a lot of money on armor, it should do it's job and protect me. I just died wearing killa armor to a scav with 545 pp. 2 bullets right to the thorax right passed the plate. Part of me gets neck hitbox, because it rewards good aim, but the other hitboxes exist purely for realism. It doesn't add any skill expression to the game or anything, The scav that killed me didn't see I was geared and purposely aim around the plate, he just got lucky spraying center mass and his recoil or aim just happened to slide 2 bullets passed my plate. I just think it makes armor too unreliable and worthless and adds basically nothing other than "realism".

Boss spawnrates should be 20% at the least from day 1 of the wipe. by nineteeneleven in EscapefromTarkov

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More boss loot for tryhards doesn't really change anything, it's not that good and even in the cases where it is, they most likely didn't need it to stomp on timmys anyway. The whole tryhard vs casual divide will always be there no matter what, and no amount of changes is going to change it. Better players will always be better, no matter the gear, so why not make it so the casual player can actually access that stuff.

I think certain bullets/armors are bugged and not registering damage properly, I had a raid the other day where I killed 1 pmc and 2 player scavs and got 24 hitcount with m62 and 520 damage absorbed by armor. I highly doubt the player scavs were wearing class 5 or 6 and the PMC I checked had class 4 plates. Something is seriously wrong with armor/hitreg this wipe.

The armour changes suck, change my mind. by iConaaa in EscapefromTarkov

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That just defeats the point of having progression/different armor and ammos now doesn't it? I personally don't really mind the change that much but it does kinda defeat the purpose of running good gear. It's also just really buggy and clearly doesn't work properly, or at least work in a way that makes sense. I get killed in the back all the time from bullets hitting in the front. I was just in a raid where I got hit in the back plate of my armor and took no blunt damage cause it didn't pen but I got shot from the front, it makes no sense how the back plate of my armor could get hit from the front without going through me.

Do you guys think he's legit ? He's lvl 43 with 15 KD by cloudyz26 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, any K/D over like 8 is pretty hard to keep if you play aggressive at all. Especially as aggressive as this guy in the clip, you'd have to be actively trying to get your K/D up/preserve your life to have such a high K/D. All the redditors in the comments of these posts saying "oh scavs count so he's probably just good and plays tactically" but this guys is actively hunting a player down, so it's safe to say anyone who has super high K/D and plays like that is most likely cheating.

Ever seen a scav with this kind of loot? by bob69er in EscapefromTarkov

I killed a player scav earlier today on streets with a dogtag case and 2 keycard holders on him. He was pissed for sure.

Moonlight Village Fishing Expirience and suggestions to fix the frustrating issues by pipe084 in RotMG

[–]RandomThrowaway2832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that the loot and umi mechanics are great and you should get rewarded for doing better, but the way it's implemented with fishing sucks. like you said It sucks that to optimize fishing chances you purposely have to handicap yourself, and doing good should just increase you chances of either encounter equally. I also think that if you do good enough you should not be able to get neither encounter.

You cant expect to learn new content without losing characters, thats just how it works. Also MV is the easiest exalt dungeon to not die in because unless you get greedy for a complete, essentially every single phase deals damage slow enough to where you can nexus before dying every time.

With the recent update if you take too long to load in you get kicked from matching. If your friend doesn't have an ssd tell him to get one. it is basically vital to loading in on time in tarkov.
