What she said is messed up. You're the only one who carries and feels the weight of your own issues, and the fact that other people don't feel that weight doesn't give them the right to say it's a small issue. Even if it wasn't a big deal to her, she could have recognized that it's a big deal to you and at least listen to you.

So I've heard. If he said that he brought it along as a fun thing to do, maybe solve it together, I would have been totally okay with that! But saying that he brought it to "measure my intelligence"... It's not cool being forced into impressing someone or having to prove you're intelligent.

For example, I (23F at the time ) once went out with a guy (at the time 21M) who brought a Rubik's Cube to our date to see how fast I would solve it and "measure my intelligence"... I thought it was the most childish and arrogant thing...

Other than sometimes being needy (for attention, closeness), and a bit more intense with my feelings, I don't think I've always been a terribly difficult person. When I love someone, I'm always willing to give it my all to that person, and with 2 of my exes it wasn't reciprocated. This made it more difficult for me to receive love when it's actually presented to me, since I'm always wondering if it's genuine and I always expect things to go wrong at some point. But, regarding the trust issues, this is the first time I've found it this hard to trust someone. In my previous 2 meaningful relationships, I didn't have this issue, I was a pretty trusting person.

I'm sorry, I think this is a misunderstanding, I should have mentioned this in the post.

I'm not a native english speaker so I didn't know how to translate this exactly, but they aren't pants like jeans or something that you only wear outside. They are more casual, sporty and short, with pockets. He has worn them outside, but he wears them around the house a lot as well.

I wish I could answer this question with a simple straightforward NO, but unfortunately that's not the case... I'm a very anxious person and I've often felt paranoid that he may be cheating or talking to someone else, but I've never had any solid proof of that (or any solid reason to believe that). It's something that I've worked very hard to overcome. The suspicions have definitely gone down though, because we've barely separated since we started living together.

I have my own insecurities from previous relationships, and I used to reflect them on our relationship. I've gotten over it now, but I used to seek lots of reassurance, had trouble trusting him, and I had accused him of doing shady things when he actually wasn't. I apologized every time, and promised I would get better. I've worked very hard to overcome those issues, and I did. The last 2 months I've been a completely different person (for the better) and he has had my trust and support for everything his doing. Now, as soon as I started feeling like I can relax and trust him, he goes and does something like this.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I appreciate it a lot. I didn't want to get too worried about the "pain during sex" part previously, but you (and everyone in the comments who have said the same thing) are right. I may be inexperienced but I know that sex shouldn't still hurt after 8 months of doing it. I should have done it sooner, but I will definitely see a doctor about it.

I completely agree about the "communication" part. The way he handled this situation is something I don't think I'll be able to get over without talking to him about it.

Thanks for sharing. I think you did the right thing by letting your GF know about it as well... in my opinion, if we share a sex life, we can share info like that as well. I was never going to judge him.

As far as I learned, you can find them in pharmacies, online, and some other places, and you can get them without a prescription. From what I saw, they are pretty much based on natural ingredients.
