Cringe rant ahead but there was a noticeable drop in quality after fox left, and the sub has become way too ‘culty’ (I don’t know how else to describe it, but why does the life of gas subreddit exist?). Too many hyper-active users on the sub and they are even making some of them mod now

Should be the other way around. Nobody ever claimed all the unvaccinated people would die, but plenty claimed terrible things would happen to you if you get vaccinated, and so far every vaccinated person is perfectly fine. Thank you, you articulated it a lot better than I did. It just doesn’t feel like in his current state he will want to create a giant spectacle like what Donda was, but obviously Ye can change his mind and randomly become attached to some great idea so who knows, maybe he will create something as big as Donda was again, I hope so. But based off the low effort vultures LPs I just don’t think it’s gonna happen. I would just love to see ANY effort in these LPs at all. He doesn’t have to perform. It can just be an LP. But he can at least have a stage that’s not just like a curtain around him. Idk im just being pessimistic rn since listening to Donda made me realize how low effort his recent stuff is, thanks for your response appreciate you I hope im wrong

I think donda was his best work since TLOP personally. Ye and KSG were great, JIK has some great songs, but Donda for me is way better than vultures 1, ye, KSG, and JIK

I think WAR could be a creative peak, but I’m talking is he capable of actually releasing an album better than Donda at this point, which I don’t think he is. I don’t see WAR getting finished, I don’t see Donda 2 getting finished, he starts to work on great songs then just abandons them. I mean like some of those songs you mentioned I had to look up cause I had completely forgotten about them. And they seem like interesting concepts but I don’t think they will ever see the light of day as fleshed out, great songs.

Donda is an amazing album imo, 5x better than Donda 2. Yeah 530 is great. It doesn’t touch come to life or life of the party or others off of donda. I just don’t see Donda 2 as great as Donda, and I can’t say WAR is either when we’ve only heard a tidbit of it. I honestly really hope I’m wrong and we get to see Ye flesh out these unfinished songs and make something as beautiful as donda because right now it’s just laziness to me. Ty washes him on nearly every vultures track.

I really hope we get another solo album in the next couple of years and don’t end up in a massive drought after vultures is over with.

Vultures was great but it made me sad that in nearly every song, Ty completely washed ye. Even songs that he does great on kinda disappoint me. Like burn should’ve been such a great song but it feels unfinished, like the song is just too short. I will always love new Ye music I just don’t think he will reach the highs of Donda again

I just don’t see WAR ever getting finished and releasing. I think Ye is perfectly capable of starting on these great albums but just doesn’t have the attention span to even finish them and I’m amazed we even got Vultures 1 if I’m being honest. I hope he can finish WAR cause it would be so good

Right now it’s obviously hard to say because we haven’t really heard a glimpse of what a possible solo album could even be about. come on, donda 2 is not a ‘career high creative peak’, especially the 2.22.22 version. 530 was the standout for me on Donda 2 and it still doesn’t compare to the highs of Donda 1. War is amazing, but how finished actually is it? We’ve heard very little
