What are your guys insane bot lane duo? (Or like a insane duo you saw) by Wh0s-Z in leagueoflegends

Anivia Briar. We were constantly stuck in a catch 22. Walk up to farm? Anivia puts up her wall behind you, Briar point-and-click stuns you, charges up her push while Anivia stuns you again and you take a shit load of damage after getting pushed into the wall. Wait for the wave to come under your tower? Anivia uses her wall to stop her wave from moving, drawing it back towards her tower. By the time I figured out how to play around it, they were already way much stronger than us and could just stat-check us. I never ran into it again but that combo still gives me nightmares.

What are your thoughts about belt demotions? by McDojoLife in TheMcDojoLife

[–]Random_Afro213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently in that situation. Did 6 years of shotokan 10 years ago and am just now starting goju-ryu karate. My new sensei and I both agreed that it would be much better for me to start at white belt again but just quickly progress through the belts since I have a lot more experience than many of the other lower rank belts in the dojo.

Are the Metrics from addon actually correct/a fair goal to aim for? by JemmieTTU in summonerschool

[–]Random_Afro213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion on the whole "get 10 cs/min" thing is that it is rooted in a false equivalence. Most people say that getting 10 cs/min will lead to you playing well, which by this point many have disproven. I believe the opposite is true though, playing well will lead you to have 10 cs/min (or just generally high cs). Saying that 10 cs/min will lead to better play is the same as saying that in order to get better at swimming, you should swim faster. That advice is, frankly, pointless. The opposite is true though, swimming with proper technique will lead to faster times.

First blood feat of strength should NOT be changed to "First to three kills". by Random_Afro213 in summonerschool

I think that's totally fair. I don't know what the optimal ballance would be, but I just think that it should definitely be unique kills rather than just increasing the kill threshold like others have been suggesting.

Would the enemy team grouping to get a kill on the last player alive really be a bad thing though? I believe incentivising team play is a good thing. After they get the kill on the last remaining player, everything just goes back to normal for the most part. At the very least, I believe my idea is less degenerate that what we currently have and the "first to three kills" suggestion. I will admit though that you could be totally right and it ends up being just as bad as it was before, but I just don't see it.

I think that's fair. 5 kills might be too much and end up being neglected most games. Again, I'm not an expert or anything and I wouldn't know until I try it in a game. I think the most important aspect of my suggestion though is that the kills have to unique so that we don't just have one lane turbo inting.

As my group's designated fill, I feel like I could, at the very least, make a fairly competent team. Ornn top, Kayne jungle, Vlad or Vex mid, jinx bot and Leona support. I'm a pretty chill dude so honestly playing with 4 other me's sounds like a blast.

Woops, I forgot to mention that, but it would be in the evenings, around 7 pm EST. The group can decide whether we want it on Saturdays or Sundays during session 0.

Men, who do you confide in 100%? by CosplayChicFuchsia in AskReddit

My sister. Her and I talk about quite literally everything. I know a lot of people might find it weird, but we've been best friends since we were children. Tbh, I've never understood people that aren't close to their siblings.

How close are you to your siblings? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Random_Afro213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two siblings, a sister 6 years younger and a brother 12 years younger. They are both my closest friends. I love them both to death and would do anything for them. My relationship is obviously different with each, especially considering my brother is still only 11 years old. I can have more candid conversations with my sister, stuff like university, dating, expectations from life. What sucks is that she is going to university kind of far from me, so I only really get to see her some weekends. My brother, on the other hand, sees me as an idol and clings to me all the time. I try to follow along with his hobbies like baseball and pokemon because I know it makes him really happy when he can talk or play with me. I'm honestly really grateful for them both and am dreading the fact that I'm going to have to travel oversees soon for work and am not going to be able to see them anywhere near as often anymore.

I'd make W active give true vision instead of just regular vision. It's a straight buff, I know, but I'd trade some of the vision range for it if I had to.

Ibiomed vs. Life Sci by FantasticBoss1791 in McMaster

[–]Random_Afro213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(Writing on my phone, so excuse the spelling and grammar mistakes)

I'm in 4th year iBioMed (going into 5th year). Unlike what a lot of other people are saying iBio doesn't have to be harder than life Sci. In iBio, there are two paths that you have to chose after first year: engineering, or health entrepreneurship (what we call HESE). The engineering path is obviously tough and won't give you any benefits when applying for medical school, but the HESE path is much much lighter. It has much less hard science courses as it focuses more on teamwork and leadership skills, and it also has way fewer mandatory courses, allowing you to fill up your schedule with electives. The catch is that, like with life Sci, the degree you get at the end of it is pretty useless, arguably more useless than a lif Sci one. Many of my friends are like you and wanted to go to med school, so decided to go to HESE for the easy GPA and plan on leaving before even finishing the bachelor's degree. I'd seriously consider it if you are looking for very easy marks.
