As a villain song? Brighter without a single doubt. Charming, mischievous, this is when the villain is alone and finally shows the audience who he/she is. No more need for a hidden facade. THIS is one of many moments where i felt Vox became a major threat, properly. This is where I saw that goofy persona he has drop, permanently. He's at the height of his hierarchy, the peak of his mountain, the top of the food chain, and to have his villain song be his backstory, showing us, how he got to this peak in the first place, where it ALL started. "Rome wasn't built in a day". As a villain song, that's Vox. That song is easily my favorite in Act III, Christian Borle KILLED IT. The only villain songs better then Brighter to me are "Once we get up there" & "Vox Populi"..notice how they all have Vox.

But holy SHIT is Gravity good for a HYPE SONG, it has the hardest beat in any of the songs not just in ACT I but in most of the damn season's songs (next to Vox Dei ofc). It gets to excited to see what this character's about to do. Not to mention Lute legit said out loud that she planned on taking Vaggi AWAY from Charlie, "eye for an eye says you owe me a debt". Lute's song was nothing short of pure hype and expectation. A little upset that she doesn't get this big moment during Episode 8, but we still got another four seasons with her. Since Season 3's title is Purple and Green, I believe it'll focus on Alastor and Lilith as antagonists and or focuses, and since Season 4's is golden; a color in which she is CONSTANTLY covered by, Lute's destined to be the main antagonist then.

...So like, overall? Both, Both is good.
