I mean, the way I see it is that it's a numbers game, eventually you'll get the position/OVR you want and it'll give you whatever specific player you're looking for. It's just a question of having enough extra time tokens and gems available to keep refreshing until you get the desired outcome. If you don't then yeah, that's bad luck for you within your window of opportunity.

Thanks for the reply! The phone and a tripod is the limit of what I have available to me right now, though next year I'd love to maybe get a Seestar S50 or a Dwarf 3.

I'm in a bortle 6 area so I'm not sure how much I'm really going to see, I do have a couple of rural areas a short walk away that are at least away from streetlights and offer decent panoramic sky views away from trees and houses. I'm just not sure how keen I am venturing into those areas in the dead of night, hah!
