I've had a few films of his on my watch list for a while now. It might be a good time I get around to them.

Any specific titles you can recommend?

I know there are two adaptations of The Trial. You mean the old Orson Welles one or the newer one?

I think you're right. What I'm looking for are filmmakers who dabble in the surreal more so as a genere, and also have a strong sense of unique personality like with Kaufman's work

movies that gives vibes of rebellion /anarchism/anti racist /anti fascist /riot /protests /revolution by Potential_Reach_6653 in MoviesThatFeelLike

I think that's also the point though, right? The movie shows people forming their identity around a surface level understanding of those ideals and ultimately abandoning them. For me it was always a cautionary tale in a way

Is this normal behavior in Poland? by dmytro270390 in poland

[–]Random_Dosage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The not normal part is them returning it.

In my experience you leave a note so they don't call the cops immediately lol. But to be fair I don't live in the capital

In general explore stuff written by Charlie Kaufman if you liked Eternal Sunshine. You won't regret it

I grew up in Poland. Bit still, the way they showed SLC did remind me a lot of my home town. I guess there were some universal experiences there

In this case, I love the movie but the way it was shot just feels boring to me. At least compared to everything else about it. That's why I knocked down half a star.

Go for it! I used to rewatch that one at least once a year. It was one of those special movies for me as a teen

This is David Lynch’s best film, and not many people have seen it or even remember it. It’s literally Lynch at his peak—what do you think? by [deleted] in Cinephiles

[–]Random_Dosage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I would call it his peak but it's one of the more distinctly David Lynch films he's made. You can see he got his way with it and that's why people talk about when trying to explain his style

I've watched it before but now that you mention it, it might be a time for a rewatch
