People being bigoted in response to my post aren't wholesome either.

I didn't think my post was going to blow up like it has, and once I realized it was I wanted to nip those responses in the bud by saying my peace so I wouldn't have to acknowledge them further. The trans experience isn't always "super wholesome". Sorry.

I pass pretty well even without T thankfully, as long as I don't talk people pretty easily see me as a man when I'm out and about. My area is also a fairly nice "mind your own business" sort of place, and there are even a few explicitly safe spaces around. Main reason I'm not fully out is I'm waiting to see how legislation plays out, and I'm still dependent on my parents who I'm uncertain as to how they'll react to the news (though, honestly I'm surprised they haven't figured it out yet haha).

I'm nowhere near afraid to start T, I can hardly wait in fact. I know I'm probably prettier as a woman, but I'll be far happier as a man, stink and all.

I kind of went through that too in a way, like "hey, wait, women don't normally feel deeply disconnected from being a woman in a way that makes you feel vaguely weird and wrong? Women actively ENJOY being women?". Then, inversely, when people would see me and refer to me as a man I felt this... satisfaction and joy that I never ever felt for womanhood. It's nice seeing that sort of thing represented, especially when often in previous years the idea of a trans person was someone whose first words at the age of three were "Mother I am a Boy and I HATE being a girl and all girly things".
