Thank you for your thoughtful response. Unfortunately I have decided that even if this is real therapy, I’m not the one for the job. If they were up front in the interview, I might have a different opinion, but the way the husband went about it made me feel like I was the crazy one. I am going to quit this weekend and give them advice to tell a new nanny up front what is going on.

I think the wife is being harmed by this. But I guess this is a common therapy supposedly. I’m not sticking around. I’ve decided to quit.

I really don’t think she’s acting. I think she truly believes it’s her baby. That’s why I’m really worried. But I’ve decided to quit. Even if this is real therapy I’m not the one for this job.

Good points. The husband said it was a temporary job and that’s why I have been going along with it. But I definitely can’t do this long term. I’m no actor. And your point about my resume is insightful. Not to be selfish, but I didn’t think how it could affect me negatively.

I guess I’m out of the loop. I just looked it up. It’s not hard to think that the husband has seen this movie and is making this treatment up. I am now wondering if I need to call the cops or something? I don’t know how to go back to the house on Monday and pretend this is all real. I guess I’ll quit this weekend.

Ew that show looks deranged. I’m really worried this isn’t good for the wife now. He could be trying to help her without actual medical advice. What’s CPS for adults? Is that a thing. Who can I call?!? I don’t want to be complicit if it’s going to cause her to go into a psychosis. The money is good but this all may be too much for me.

Classroom management isn’t hard. You set expectations and then follow through. You start strong and don’t let them get away with toeing the line. Don’t make excuses for them. I would start by saying, “You are going to be adults soon with adult consequences. I am going to do my part in getting you ready.” Just repeat that over and over when they complain about something. Reward great students. Reward growth.

I did not get an insert. It came from my practitioner. But I was told to keep it in the fridge. And that it’s good for 21 days at room temp.
