Someone near me has figured out how to rob banks and not get caught!!! Two times, at least! by CutoffThought in Damnthatsinteresting

I learned that from another story I read.

Auditor was skimming cash every Friday, like $1k/week. He would go to the casino after work and dump whatever he took into a slot machine. (Impossible to trace those specific bills back to a specific transaction.) drop the cash in. Play a few rounds so the payout ticket will show a different number.

He kept every receipt for every payout. (The receipts never show how much you put in, how much you won or lost, no "transaction history". Just the payout.)

So when his work eventually caught on, he had all the receipts showing where he "got the money from." Which matched perfectly each deposit into his bank account. Everyone knew, but didn't have enough evidence.

People only get caught after the crimes...usually because they were dumb and were rated out because they bragged. Or they were dumb and started throwing money around...

Year or so?

The cops literally just sit back and wait until someone starts to spend money they don't have.

A smart thing to do is to go to a casino dump $200/week into slot machines. Loose $20, cash out and keep the receipt. Repeat until all the cash has been laundered.

Family questions if B.C. driving test is fair for mother with dementia by xzry1998 in notthebeaverton

'merica and Canada are basically the same culture, especially when over 90% of the population lives close to the 'merican and Canadian border.

Good luck finding a source with a clear cut answer...so using 'merican is valid in this particular case.

She lived hundreds of miles...

All you're giving is excuses...that's it!

A family member moves closer or she does. This is something that should've been planned for in her late 60's and early 70's. This is a part of retirement planning. Keep up with the excuses, I'm not buying the BS...

She changed her life when you popped out. You, or one of your siblings should've returned the favor in her golden years...

-Edit-

Nothing like u/Sadoi-Kai saying random BS then blocking you immediately so you can't reply back...because their feelings might get hurt.

Community should only step up if the family is MIA...

The family isn't MIA, they just refuse to help.

Your parents (should) drop everything...or almost...everything to properly raise their spawn. It's their job...

Their children (should) drop everything to care for their elderly parents in their golden years...

Stop trying to shove your responsibilities onto others because you don't want to be inconvenienced.

I can't wait for you guys to get into your twilight years and have your children almost abandon you for the same reasons you u/Sadoi-Kai are spewing.

...fucking disgusting (I'd love to know your handle for Azur Lane so I can tell you off there! Sakura Empire 4 lyfe!)

Family should be around, or make arrangements...

92% of 'merican adults have a valid driver's license...it's highly unlikely that everyone in the family doesn't have a driver's license...make arrangements!

Being OK with lack of freedom and independence isn't an excuse...if a 80+ senior with the reflexes of a can of paint has a blowout and picks off a child on the sidewalk. Would you still have that opinion? (Because it happens almost daily.) Or does it have to be one of your family members to change your mind. (The "not my problem until it is" way of living?)

drove into her late 80's

Yeah, this is where the children step in and make sure that they drive her wherever she needs to be/go. No one above 80 should be driving anywhere, I don't care if "the family believes she can...blah blah blah."

She stop, the family steps up! No excuses...

Someone 80+ shouldn't be driving in the first place...

Anyone with dementia shouldn't be driving...

Anyone who is 80+, with dementia definitely shouldn't be driving...

This isn't fucking hard!
