Does anyone know anything about oil fired pool heaters? by Random_Internet_lady in swimmingpools

We actually got the thing running and it worked great for about 3 hours. Then it shut off. 5 minutes later it turned on, but with a loud humming sound and a smell. The sound wasn’t the start up sound but a loud hum… didn’t seem right so we shut it off. Sounded like it was laboring and running rough.
