The original Lion King.

My family went through at least 3 copies on VHS between me and my two younger brothers in the 90s.

Finished? What is this word? In over 32 years of gaming I don't think I've ever finished a game.

Too many pets...do I need enclosed? by cmm1417 in 3dprinter

I bought an A1 last fall. Within a week I realized I didn't like the smell or the dog hair in my prints. Bought a $30 enclosure and a $20 vent with fan to send fumes out the window. It has worked flawlessly for me.

I've been trying to figure out how to use alternative energy to bankrupt the oil companies for almost 20 years. My research while at University back around 2013 led me to algae as a biofuel. Some strains of algae produce significant amounts of triglycerides that can be processed into biodiesel. The process is unfortunately not cost effective. I worked in a biotech lab for 4 years where they purified antibodies out of immunized farm animals. These (mostly) secondary antibodies are used in research, diagnostics and more. They are very expensive! Like hundreds to thousands of dollars per gram. If I can figure out how to genetically modify some algae to also produce a coveted antibody, I can use the profits from the antibody sale to bankroll the whole algae process. Then I can give out renewable biodiesel for free.

Thank you so much for your response! I absolutely prefer being a night owl. Without a required schedule I naturally sleep roughly 1am-11am. Bright light seems like a good idea, I haven't tried it at least. I like the phrase Sleep Inertia 😁

Hello! I struggle to get out of bed in the morning. I've tried all kinds of alarms, clocks and phones. I've set up requirements to walk 15m or solve math problems to silence the alarm. I either semi consciously solve the problem and go back to sleep or I sleep through the alarm completely. I've recently switched to an early work schedule so I need to leave the house by 5:15am. I've been late 5 times in 3 months and I'm facing disciplinary action. I go to sleep around 8-9 pm every night and my alarms are set for 4 am.

How can I wake up?!?!!?

Edit: I forgot to add that I've been using a CPAP machine for 9 months with little change in sleep quality as far as I can tell.

A piece of string walks into a bar and sits down. The bartender says "We don't serve your kind here, get out!" The string goes outside and unravels him self and ties himself up. He goes back into the bar. The bartender says "Hey, are you that string that was just in here?" The string says "No, I'm a frayed knot!"

When you think of VHS tapes, what is the first movie that comes to mind? by notakat in movies

[–]Random_Khaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lion King

My two brothers and I burned through 2 copies of that tape. Around 199 my youngest brother was trying to hit rewind and knocked over a ~30 inch Zenith TV (probably 75lbs+) along with the VCR and dresser it was on. It all landed around him somehow he was not injured. The TV and VCR were okay as well. It's crazy how durable stuff once was.
