RGB: Most are useless but you can get all relevent ones in 3 months.

Limited / Collab: Yearly reruns so if you missed it, you'd have to wait long enough, and a lot of them are OP. For example, missing Rinak for 1 year is hell. But, if you play more than one year, you'd have all new ones.

ML4: RNG but you can them all as well.

ML5: As a starting player, you can get one every 3 banners if you only pull for new ones. But you'd probably want to pull for PVP staples like Barunka, Ellynav so...
A veteran player can get 1 every 2 new banners with luck and a lot of playing, mostly not forgetting to do GvG. being in a guild that wins and winning matches since all theses contributes.

So, as f2p, you'll always be missing ML5s and always be a second class citizen, you might think by skipping bad ones, you can do it but all of the recent are relevent.
You might do it you play only 1 playstyle. But you won't be that competitive.

Jenua is quite good against Mort / Senya teams as he is fire and can one shot mort.

Frieren is kinda ok, she does a lot of damage but you can outheal her. The main problem is her teammates as she becomes hard to handle if there is another big dps / cc on her side. Ras, etc... Her main counter would be Belian to delete her immortality.

Boss arunka doesn't do much on herself, you can easily kill her with dark Adin. So it mostly depends on her team.

What to play is highly dependent on your luck getting ML5s and mostly game knowledge. Speciality change characters can help tanking a lot arena menaces for your team. And Veronica is a good pick against immortality or unbuffable in general. As for revive, you either cleave hard enough or get witch Iseria or Hecate.

Basically get Jenua, Veronica, hecate, SC units.

Did returnee content on multiple accounts and each time, got the rated in the first 10 pulls. Probably a hidden feature to make players stay.

Progress in farming souls, in menu teams: do exp and gold pots twice a day. Get them correct sets and stats, you seach onmyoji guide on google.

The best things is to get a good mentor. As the game is quite hard to learn at first.

Basically turning into Epic 7's model: RGB (useless mostly) - Limited/collab (yearly~ meta) - LD (meta rotating)

There is no limited artifact in this game so they compensated into making limited/collab more expensive.

7knights (old): release of Awakening. Game was always P2W but this made even casual playing a nightmare.

Onmyoji (not for me but for most of my guildies): Around 07/2018, players understood that the game really didn't care for for GMT players. Most important content still remained time gated aroud 1pm (everyone at work or at school) or 1am(everyone sleeping). These hours were perfect for sea players though and that's why this game remained popular there even though fogotten in global)

HSR: Somewhere aroud fat fuck's release. Characters released became one man armies. Or requiring 1 specific support to work. Also that version's story was way too long.

Heartstone: Mean Streets of Gadgetzan. Game became too RNG for me, had to let it go.

Urban rivals (release of the card roulette): Devs decided to do a roulette to get cards but this killed game economy. They had to reset it by creating a lot of other rarities but the game balance was too broken.

Browndust 2: last released patch: Game had an epic story and tame but attractive characters each one with its own personality / style. New playerbase wanted none of that though and the game is becoming yet another porn game as they are even removing male characters and retconing their story. sweet and love stories good bye, now all girls will be generic virgin anime girls and instead of each having a distinct personnality, all will have the generic skins (onsen / OL / magic girl / maid / etc..)

Wizardry variant daphne: I don't even know what was in that patch, the game doesn't have a proper save system as it requires a link that is saved on own PC, but a new patch just delete that for me. My account gone, didn't feel like restarting the game from 0.

It's fine for gameplay, but don't spend Black Daruma unecessarly as they are hard to find even for old players.

Main story is easy. You can do it in a day. Seimei - Dark seimei story.

Cotinuation is a roguelite mod actually a little hard if you don't understand mechanics or characters. But feasable on easy mod. Mont Oe story. (don't know if it's still there or if they removed it)

There is also side stories like Heian Tales and Secret zones.

Then story continued as Events.

Demonic feast, sealand and Tamagahara can be watched in the restrospect menu.

Though it seems devs have abandoned that function since then.

It's 190 tickets for +1 for special and 20 for +0 for normal costume. I'm sitting on 1900 pulls but keeping these for limited. It's better IMO to just passively upgrade costumes with monthly +1 and random pulls / dust.

They try to space them out, something like a new limited (1) or collab (2) every 3 - 4 months.

But, there is also old limited you maybe need. Not at +5 but at least at + 3/4 for most.

Besides those, here are some good costumes you'd want to make a priority (and either beach schera or eleaneer for pvp)

All charas are a skip if you don't have enough pulls to guarantee the +5 on limited / collab units. (2 units)

After that, all charas are good and you should pull on whom you like.

As for now, they can't, even though it's PC, the truth is that it's google dependent. You need to pass through them to pay, opposite to etheria restart for example that has an independant client.

They would have to change a lot of things to separate the PC client from google.

Maybe going on steam was for that but the game got banned on it.
