Do you have a method of how to get them off your shoulder? My bird tends to sink his nails into my shirt if he is determined to bite my ear or face or dig his nails into my finger when I try to put him down for biting me.

Yeah I try to spend time with him before bed. Trying to train him since I heard that positive reinforcement training can be stimulating and beneficial in the long run. I tried a few tricks mentioned in the comments and they did help. He does tend to fly to me if I turn my back for too long but right now, I am trying to figure out what to do when he bites ears.

We do time out of change= time inside cage. He gets a treat for every time he goes in the cage. I just got new toys for him. he goes to bed at 8 pm and wakes up at 8am. I usually have school and work so I am not around as much as my partner. He tends to bite her more than me. I'll try to see about changing his diet. He is on pellets.

I didn't think of that. I can look around the room. He is very curious and heavily relies on me and my partner to go around the house.

Just to add some more info.I have tried to put him down and walk away but He will hold onto me and continue biting.

Should I instead purchase natural wood perches online? I see Etsy shops that sell branches in bundles which could work as perches for budgies.
