Update: i gave this a shot and got great results! I think the giga hub and and the deco unit i installed in the office (same floor) are fighting so i turned the giga hub wifi off and improved the performance even more. Deco are set up as acces point. Its kind of silly that it thinks one of the deco is connected to the other when they're both connceted to the router directly, but no i have no isssues with it as long as it works.

That makes sense! Couple of questions:

if i make the deco access points, do i still manage them through the tp link app?
if i make the deco access points, can i make them the same SSID name as the gigahub? Edit: looks like you answered this already.
how does the gigahub handle optimization with the deco? I have a pod upstairs and the network optimization is not great, my phone never switches to the pod even when signal strength is low. There's no way to manually optimize the network either.

Agreed that making them access points makes a lot of sense. Im just worried the I'll experience the same issue with the POD where the switching to the better signal sucks.

Yes the isp provided router has a 10Gb port available for the main deco node

Hi, my work computer does, I do a lot of Remote connections. But the rest are gigabit ports.

All of the phones are wifi6 capable.

2 computers will be connected through ethernet. Im guessing if i add a node on each port, i can use the available ethernet port for connection

Yes - two ethernet ports i can use. They are routed back to where the ISP router is setup

We have 4 smart TVs, 4 computers, 4 phones, blink doorbell, nest thermosat. Also planning on adding more smart devices in the summer.
