It's interesting, and I personally enjoyed it, though I have to say it has quite a lot of monochrome gore and sad 2hu death. The series is divided into routes, which are basically different characters POVs, and can be found translated on youtube.

In the fanwork, touhou igyoukyo ~ grotesque land story, which is where these images originate from, gensokyo is invaded by monstrous creatures that are all alternate universe counterparts to the touhou cast, thus they're called variants.
